Yeah, and I hate seeing this thread topped and there not being a deal posted, but people talking about the merits of particular movies. Seems pretty easy to enforce, and no one's doing it. I'd be happy to be enforced as well -- my posts about "Where Eagles Dare" probably shouldn't have been posted.

Regardless, this thread has become rather pointless lately, as there simply aren't good deals on anything other than crap movies.

Haha. I think you might want to make up your mind. Is this thread about posting deals or a thread about judging the merits of a movie posted?

Personally, I feel the crappier movie won't get posted that often because most people won't be saving those movies in their cart watching for a price drop. Plus, usually requests asking about a movie's quality drops off after a few replies. What tends to hijack a thread is one person posting something stupid and the 15 replies jumping on what that person said. Instead of keeping posts only to listing Name + Price we should look to asking the moderators to start weeding out the idiots.

82 cents tax yeah....ugh. I'm pretty big on no tax for my movies. Amazon's been a roll w/ changing their product to BB's sales.

Unless you live in one of those bankrupt states that made Amazon collect tax. Now no more advantage. Unless I am getting free shipping and it's a few dollars cheaper I'm better off getting it in my travels

There are websites which cater to Amazon pricing for DVDs & Blu-rays, but these threads are more short-term and a person needs to act rather quickly.

The preorder for Maniac is down to $18.49 (not quite half off the $35 MSRP). That's cheaper than the DVD edition!

My recommendation would be just to hold on catalog releases until they $9.99.

I either buy Blu-rays right when they come out or wait until they're discounted quite a bit. I'm sure Gangs of New York will go even lower to $9.99 soon.

Yeah but I couldn't wait any longer on that one. Held off on the original BD and the DVD version wasn't all that great.

I was at Costco yesterday and was cursing the fact that they had Jeff Beck @ Ronnie Scott's for $13.99. I'm pretty sure I paid more than that for the DVD release. For anyone considering getting this, DO IT! You won't be sorry.
