Subtitles don't cover things like sound effects, like phone's ringing, door slamming, etc.

BTW, if anyone's curios about how big the Geneon (formerly Pioneer) fallout is, here's a link some of thier shows. Shows like Trigun, Gankutsuou, Serial Experiment's Lain, etc. Several current series won't see the release of thier remaining dvds.

http://www.animeondvd.com/studio/studio.php?studio=5

The majority of the stuff I had was Geneon. ;_: They had some of the highest prices but some had some of the better done dvds, IMHO. ^^

Sadly I had cut back on anime dvd purchases in the past year and rented for my anime fix. The last two RS geneon sales of didn't do me anygood either. I already owned most of the discs that were in those sales.

Edit: for grammar. ^^V

Yes, I'm aware of it. I just wanted to know what they're saying. Without it, I'm lost.

Sorry. ^^ Didn't catch the last part. I didn't think there were subtitles for it since Robotech was an english dubbed show made from three different mecha series.

Umm... I'll rent one CD from Netflix and see. Just noticed that Netflix doesn't have full set of that Remastered format.

After watched "Love Hina," I kept wondering about the nose bleeding whenever the male character saw something sexy or nudity. I saw that similar with Chobits, Mahoromantic Maid, and few more.

Can anyone explain why? Why nose bleed?

Here is Wikipedia's explanation:
In anime and manga (Japanese-originating animation style), it is very common to see sexually aroused characters suffering nosebleeds, sometimes intense ones. Sometimes referred as the Japanese Slapstick, this rarely occurs in real life, but is based on a Japanese "old wives' tale", which states that becoming sexually excited can cause nosebleeds. Such occurrences are generally played for laughs and signify "loserhood" and/or virginity...

Wikepedia has a very informative stub on anime/manga, that explains alot of the extra stuff American audiences normally wouldnt get.

All I saw was the single disc, and the boxed set with the figure. I wish they would have just released the steel book by itself.

Yes. The link you found will be the one. It has the 2-disc steelbook with the Anderson bust (figurine).

It is released at your local Trans World Entertainment store (FYE, Suncoast,...). It's their store exclusive and it's currently on sale for $19.99. However it's B&M only!

Lucky ☆ Star licensed by Bandai Entertainment & Kadokawa Pictures USA ???

As reported @ AoD:
Early reports are coming in from people who have received the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Vol. #4 that there is a teaser on it, which can be seen here at YouTube, in which there is a sequence from Lucky Star that highlights the Haruhi series. It finishes with a card that indicates the series will be coming to the US via Bandai Entertainment and Kadokawa Pictures USA. No official announcement from Bandai Entertainment has been released as of yet.

EDIT: The teaser is indeed found in Vol.4, but Bandai Entertainment has yet to comment on the license!

EDIT 2: The teaser has now been removed!

Those which were sold at TWEC were "steelbook" only store exclusive (similar to Vol.1 offered by Bestbuy) and No Anderson Relief Figure.

Ultimate Hellsing Vol3 LE boxset... Whew... looks like its availability is now hard to find... Most online stores shows "discontinued" info about it.

Since GENEON is DEAD...
1. Who would handle the 4th installment of this "Ultimate" series?
2. Are these releases an instant OOP/Discontinued editions?

If anyone is interested in buying the Anderson figure off me, let me know.

I was wondering how they were going to release the fourth installment. Only time will tell.

1. No one knows who will handle Vol.4. But Hellsing Ultimate should one of the earliest Geneon properties that will get rescued. The other one would be Black Lagoon.

2. These releases (like many other Geneon titles) are getting close to OOP/Discontinued. With there being no more reproduction on these titles, it will just be a matter of time before it goes OOP.

Does anyone know if we're ever gonna see the original Mobile Suit Gundam TV series, in Japanese, with subtitles, released anywhere in the world, excluding some Chinese bootleg?

Because seriously, UC0079 is a milestone of anime and it's a real crime not to have it on DVD in it's original form...

I think we will eventually see it released here, but from what I recall, the original series didn't seem too popular over here. What I would really like to see is someone make an anime version of the novel since its completely different from the series and movies.
