I was at D&B one night and this fat slapper guy (who was drinking a whole lot) just got on it and started to bounce around. What a sight!!! It was one of the most hilarious things I've seen. But to top it all off...as he was stepping around lookin' like a drunkin' fool....this dude just let it all out. I mean puked up everywhere!!! HAHAHA People standing near them got splashed!!hahahah It was insane!!! People were screaming as if someone pulled out a gun. If I only had a camera…you should have seen this guy. He looked like fat bastard from Austin powers. HUGE!

I had some distance from him so me and my friends were laughing our asses off while safe from puke

Anyway...note to self never go on that while drunk and don't stand near someone that's using that when they're drunk.

ick! thats totally gross and funny at the same time . Must have been quite a site to see, good thing you were at a safe distance . I've heard stories where people have tipped the machine over too, thats crazy, the DDR machines are huge (only ones I've seen are for 2 people, don't know if they have a version for just one person). But still....when I jump on there the thing is rock solid (I don't weight that much though....).

OT:
And I like the new squidget too, but its a little harder to type...squidget, squidget, I'll figure it out .

some advice...

DO NOT buy a plastic hard dance mat. My friend who works in a video game store sells them, and 2 out of the shipment of 12 work. If you get a dance mat get the soft plastic kind.

Yes my friend Zero there is quite right. My store has these hard plastic dance pads made by a company named Dragon. These are very fragile pads on the inside and aren't worth forking out $100 each for. We do have dance stages though that sell for $200 and in my personal opinion are alot more durable. If you just want the basic pad though, fork out the $30-$40 for the pad and buy a roll of duct tape and tape it to the floor. This is Gamer signing off.

yeah, me too.

well, I went to D&B's again last night. I passed a level for the fist time!! woo-hoo!! And now I adicted. I'll probably go look for the pad and game this weekend to practice up on my skills.

BTW, I think from now on, I'm only going to D&B's during the week. The place is preatty much dead. I could play whatever I wanted without having to wait. The only exception was the boxing game where you have to dodge punches and stuff.

I'm sure there have been some there at times, but to be quite honest, a glorified video arcade is generally not where I go to find single women.

I agree.

But I have seen groups of women there before. My girlfriend has gone there before without me, but she's not really single...at least I hope she's not acting single

So then which dance mat is best? I see a lot of the after-market soft-pads on E-bay, but are they as good as the original Konami pads? Can they possibly be as good as the Konami CODE?!? Let's go over it boys and girls... I haven't done it in a long time, but I think I've still got it: up up down down left right left right b a select start. Oh man nothing like 40(30?) lives in Contra!!!

EDIT: Can you use this pad in anything else like, for instance, Frequency or something?

BTW, after watching people play, I got one of the songs from the game stuck in my head. I don't know the name of it, but the singer says 'bounce with me' and 'bounce' a lot. Anyone know what song that is and who performs it? (I assume the title of the obvious song would be 'bounce')
*resurrects thread*

This is hilarious, because last night, when I was playing "Pump: The Premiere" (a DDR clone @ D&B's), we were ALL trying to figure out the name of that "bounce" song! No, the title of the song is not "Bounce," because that would make sense. Instead, it's called "Run To You." If you're playing "Pump," it's the first song to the left... the image is of a girl with blue hair. By DJ Doc, or something like that. Great song, and fun to dance to.

I've played "Pump" here and there on the "normal" difficulty level & slower songs, but for the first time last night, I went for the faster songs & the "hard" difficulty level... oh my gosh. Crazy fun. My favorite song on there is "Bye Bye Bye," but only because I can work the "fist pump" move (anyone who's seen the N*Sync music video will probably know what I'm talking about) into the dance, and it drives people WILD.

I'm definitely looking to pick up DDR for my PS2 now, and am looking through old threads for a good pad. There are also a lot of DDR & dance-game related websites out there, with pad reviews... I just don't want to plunk all this money down on a crappy pad and have it break and slide all over my floor.
