What's October?

Pokémon Legends Z-A is coming out October 16th. There’s nothing stopping Nintendo from releasing two first-party titles in a month, but it seems like it’s something they usually shy away from.

With September so rapidly approaching, I would think anything coming out then would either be a digital shadowdrop with maybe a later physical release (like the Metroid Prime remaster) or nothing major.

I suppose. Hard to imagine putting out a high profile title like Metroid Prime 4 next month without more of a build up. Borderlands 4 comes out in September and Gearbox has been hyping it for months now.

Regarding the Hogwarts upgrade apparently you need to actually play the game and there’s an in game upgrade option. It’s different than other upgrades you purchase from the eshop. Which is probably why it somehow sticks in this weird loophole.

It definitely doesn’t work with Nintendo first party upgrades.

How did you play Kirby Air Riders?

I think she means she made it through 9 minutes of the Direct. It was pretty dry.

Seriously, I don't see the logic of putting this one out as a $70 game (!), when it's only the third Nintendo full-game Switch exclusive, and so shortly after MKW. I could be wrong, but I just don't see that much appeal for it. I might have bought it if I could use a voucher, but that is not the sort of game I want to buy at full price, unless the reviews are ecstatic.

I thought the video was really well done Sakurai is a really great developer and I think Kirby Air Riders looked really great. Looks quite a bit different than MKW. In a lot of ways it looks a lot better. That water leveled really looked “next gen”.

but I get your point. The general audience doesn’t know who Sakurai is and especially with its release date I wonder how well it will do. A lot of parents buying Switch 2’s will just opt for MKW. I hope to pick it up but probably won’t immediately. Maybe if Costco has it for $62 again or one day if it goes on sale.

Was it a mistake? Already sold out. Also according to sales statistics most were bought in Missouri and Texas and nowhere else? Weird.

It sold out quickly. I didn't notice that Adam Tyner posted it earlier. I wouldn't be surprised if scalpers with bots bought them and marked them up 10-$15 for resale.

I can now confirm $10 Switch 2 digital copy of Hogwarts Legacy using a borrowed game card of the Switch 1 version. I borrowed a copy from the library. After launch the Switch 1 version of the game, you pick a character and watch the opening cinematic, then you can press the + button and go back into the main game menu. From there, you can select Additional Content. You can then 'claim' the update. That will say Free Download. What that Download does is unlocks the discount in the eShop on the full Switch 2 Hogwarts Legacy game for a discounted price of $10.00.
After purchasing the $10 upgrade, you then download that 24 GB file and you're good to go. I'm returning my library copy tomorrow.

SF ones were way too expensive. They're being clearanced at Game Stop for $20 each. I got to use my monthly $5 off Pro bonus and get Luke for $15. At that price they might be worth getting. They are nicely detailed collectibles.

So after having such a fantastic time with Bananza, I decided I'm going to get all the Nintendo Franchises (also having a blast with Mario Kart World). Just got Kirby and the Forgotten Land and played it a little and LOVED it and the breeze mode is manageable for me. Already preordered the Switch 2 upgrade too and I'm going to stop now and replay the game from the beginning when it comes out Thursday. Also getting Pokemon Legends: ZA and I decided to get Kirby Air Riders after all after learning it also has online racing and learning more about the game and that it's really about City mode (which is also online).

Well, I already ran out of space and had to delete stuff and have a bunch of first party games coming this year. I had 10 bucks off on the ebay app and got a 512 gig express on ebay for 70 bucks. That's only 5 bucks than Walmart (out of stock).

Per IGN, there's a Nintendo Direct coming in September. It's expected that they will finally announce a date for Metroid Prime 4.

I want to know when Animal Crossing is coming, I never played the Switch 1 one even though I own it but I don't want to start it if AC S2 is coming within a few months.

No way it's coming in the next few months since it hasn't even been announced or even discussed yet.

It's probably going to be December 2026. May as well give the current AC a go.

Got my Hogwarts Legacy Switch 2 version for $10! Had to delete Bananza, Mario Party, and one more, but I get my memory card on Friday.

There's a lot of folks, me being the first, would not have made it through the Covid lockdown without Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I picked it up on a Friday and the lockdown started two days later.

Interesting, IGN reviews the cheap ONN memory card and finds it a little slower than more expensive ones, but not too much worse.
