Mine was incredibly fussy about being plugged into AC adapters. I have tons of little charging AC blocks and none of them were acceptable for my system. Of course I had the new charger that came with the Switch 2, but nothing else would work. Eventually I switched which Switch was plugged into that charger (while the other was plugged into a standard little USB-C AC charging block) — first the Switch 2 to start the transfer, then the OG to accept the sending of data, then once the transfer began, the Switch 2 again. That method managed to bypass the checks the systems seemed to run and allowed me to finally transfer my data.
Edit : I guess that’s what the Reddit guy was saying to do.

While I still haven’t really played anything on the Switch 2 yet, my wife did fire up Animal Crossing, and the load times are dramatically faster.

Ran out of time tonight before having to head in to work. Was able to set up and transfer but it was still downloading MKW.

It's weird not having a physical game to go with the system though....I do miss opening that and plugging that in the console for the very first time.

I think you had the right idea Adam.

Maybe if it drops to $200 or less I might get it one day but not paying a fortune to get it off Stock X or Ebay. -rolleyes-

You're going to wait until it drops to less than half of what it retails for now? Have you seen the trend in console prices? We don't see them discounted very much anymore.

edited to add: also with tariffs the way they are, there is a non zero chance the retail price goes UP by Christmas.

Its the brand new release of a Nintendo console. It's been 8 years since that's happened so yeah there's a big fuss about it.

Nintendo hadn't released a console in a period of time even longer than the Niners had between their loss to the Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII and their loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV. So you can just imagine the anticipation that has built up!

Apparently Fast Fusion, which is only $14.99 is a really good launch game on the S2. I was totally unaware of the series but people seem to like it. I am seriously considering it. Much better deal than the Welcome Tour.

Yup, got Fast Fusion after hearing about it (and a random $5 coupon from Best Buy). I’ve got the games, just need the system to get here.

Pretty interesting that there were two different bundles available. I'm guessing that many more preordered the bundle than they expected so they had to convert some to a bundle by throwing in a download code and slapping a sticker on the front. I got the one with the sticker and download code.

Mine shipped yesterday and will be here Sunday. This is why everybody is mad at you, Target. (kidding, that's another laundry list, but c'mon).

Ha, my Target order isn't coming until... Wednesday. They didn't even ship it out until this morning. On the bright side I complained and got a slight discount which is worth a try, especially because it's ridiculous I stayed up late to preorder something through their website shenanigans and they couldn't even ship it until the day after it released.

I'm still going to put a glass protector on it. The plastic screen can be permanently scratched with anything made from metal. Same as the original Switch.

there was a film on the og Switch? Are you putting on the protector with the film on or without? I want to and have one I can use, but I'm just not sure if I want to mess around with this film thing.
