Agreed. I think the whole preordering, knowing barely anything was nothing more than a fiasco. I didn’t even see any commercials on tv. I think the first trailer I saw was in front of Final Reckoning. Not once on tv except ABC reporting on it and the long lines, etc on the news all day yesterday and today. Overestimation would not be an eggsaeration.

That's my only choice, mainly because they won't allow me to cancel even though it is still "preparing to ship."

Just played my first race and won right off the bat. Looked and felt gorgeous. The controls, I’ll have to get used to, but so far so good. The grips on my controller is the exact black as Pro 2 and they feel great. Not sure about these ones coming for GC controller, but we’ll see.

My Switch had a delivery window of 2:45-4:45. It’s been out for delivery since 9:30 am it’s almost an hour late.

Now it changed to 7pm. I bet it comes tomorrow.

There is most definitely NOT a USB slot on either Switch, just a UBC-C on the OG and two of them on a Switch 2.

Ha, switching the USB-C cables (only one of which was plugged into a full AC charging port) between the two systems, three times in total, finally allowed me to do the transfer. 😂

In OB defense, it took me like 15 minutes and a few website visits to figure it out. If you got a bundle with a sticker, it's dead easy -- you have a code in the box. If you have a printed MKW graphic, it's a crazy labyrinth to get there. I swear I would have never found it without Google.

I picked mine up at Gamestop last night. Went in at 10:50pm, and was headed home by 11:10pm. Highly organized, and streamlined. There were probably ~40 people there when I got there, and 6 more came right before 11pm.

I had to run to Target late this afternoon (4:30ish), and they still had both bundles available. I decided to stop by Walmart closest to home, and they had the Mario Kart bundle left, but weirdly no Switch 2 games on the sales floor? They had another case with controllers, screen protectors, micro sd express cards, cameras, and some cases stocked. They had the Hori Piranha camera, I'm just not sure how the lower resolution will affect the pictures...

Well OB was saying, quite specificically, thatI had to use a USB-to-USB-C cable and just posted some blurry pictures of USB slots. I still don’t see any USB slots on my Switch consoles, and can’t quite figure out what his picture relates to in the Switch hardware.
Give me a little credit here Adam, I’ve owned a Switch for 8 years. I know there’s a USB-C slot on the bottom of the unit.

7:00 and still no Switch 2. Apparently it’s been out for delivery for 10 hours. Are they driving around in circles in the middle of the desert?

I really don't know. I'm really itching to put the glass screen protectors on there that I already bought and used on my OG Switch. But if it already has a protective screen then it might damage that if I put it on? At least if I have to take the screen protector off?

I'm waiting for someone to figure it out and tell me what I should do. In the meantime I'll probably baby it.

Yup. This should have been a clue :

You don’t have to use a USB-A-to-USB-C cable. The AC adapters for each console have USB-C connectors, and I plugged each adapter directly into each console, bypassing the docks. Whatever method you’re using to charge the OG Switch without the dock should work.

I read on another forum that the transfer process is fussy about USB cables being plugged in, but it’s not fussy about what the cables are plugged into. So it sounds as if you don’t even need two AC adapters.

Oh well, it will be fun to look back at 8 years from now when we're at war with China and controlling our Home Protection Drones with our Switch 2s and seeing the debate here on if Decker knows what a USB port is or reminiscing on getting surprise snacks from Walmart.
