I just finished too. I got 208 of 300 bots. No real desire to go back and collect the rest. The end credits were great. The void stuff with the shapes can kiss my ass though. I’m gonna go ahead and sell this one now. Maybe later when it’s a PS freebie I’ll try and finish the rest of the stuff.
Very fun adventure though.

Just grabbed Bot 301 and we are down to two simple trophies to Platinum this. It was fun.

I had left my Amazon order for the controller open even though they never received any and just finally got an email today saying it had shipped. Better late than never.

Got the 2 bots from the first of the new speedrun levels! It looks like completion alone gets you 1 bot, and a time under 45 seconds gets you the other.
There are 6 new trophies to go with these levels. 5 are just completing each level (even if you don't hit the required times), and the 6th is for hitting the required times to rescue all 10 of the new bots. There are new gatchas too, so stock up on coins!

I'm not in to speedrunning at all but the target goal is pretty easy. I was able to get under 45 seconds on my second try.

I thought this week's speedrun level was easier than last week's. It doesn't hurt that you can skip big chunks of it thanks to the elephant powerup you're given at the start, which lets you carve your own path.

Haven’t logged into the game in weeks… do the new speedrun levels go away, or can you still replay the first one?

But yeah, I get the feeling that the game wants to present you with a series of difficult challenges you aren't intended to succeed at initially, and you're meant to learn more with each successive run. I'm content to get the trophies and never compete against anyone's times otherwise. I didn't think the first one was too bad as far as completing it goes, but hitting the time to rescue the second bot was at least on the verge of frustrating for me. The week in between may have made it less frustrating in my memory than it actually was.My biggest problem with the second one was not realizing I had the elephant powerup; I mistook the water puddles for something covered in ice. I probably pressed every button on/around it except for R2.
I bet you'll be able to knock that one out without much trouble.

Yeah I'm generally not good at anything speed running but I was able to beat the expected time on my second try on both of these. Zero interest in replaying them over and over for faster times though. I really hope they end up making some actual level DLC instead of just these speedrun levels.

Finished both speedrun levels today. A little too easy, honestly. Took me a few tries to get to the end, of course, but didn’t have to replay to get a faster time.
Looking forward to the rest of them.

I’m not sure if these speed run levels are getting easier or the weekly drops are just restoring my Astro Bot muscle memory. But I would say this week was the easiest one yet for me. I think I hit the double-rescue time on my fourth attempt and my first time successfully getting to the end.

Oh no! The final speedrun level is one of those annoying climbing monkey levels. I've only given it one real try and nearly made it to the end, but my time leaves a lot to be desired.

Ugh. Having to go back and forth with the arms in the monkey setup was the least intuitive mechanic they added to the game.

Re: Astro Bot (9/6/2024: PlayStation 5)
Kinda cheesy, but if you disable motion controls and just press a direction (usually up!) on the thumbstick, you can climb at breakneck speeds by quickly mashing L2 and R2, making this level a relative breeze.
Also, the credits were updated to reference Rayman, Worms, Assassin's Creed, Beyond Good & Evil, Croc, and Tomba, none of whom have VIP bots in the game. So that might be a hint of who we'll get in the upcoming challenge level DLC.

Similarly, you can turn off the mic on the controller so you don’t have to blow on it for a couple random parts in some levels… or maybe that was just in Playroom…

I don't recall ever being asked to blow at the controller in Bot. But I also don't remember having the monkey arms in Playroom, so my memory may not be the most accurate.
