Palworld (Xbox Gamepass, PC)

Re: Palworld (Xbox Gamepass, PC)
I am all about building a nice base. Six story atrium on the third floor with a thatched roof, first two floors have multiple bedrooms with walk in closets, some with private balcony space. It has nothing to do with the Pals or the objective but it is fun to build and plan out. I guess this is my Powerwash Simulator.

Sounds like Disney Dreamlight Valley may be for you.

So this is from my file where I'm not as satisfied with the build, my better house is on my friend's file, with a much larger atrium where the house looks normal for the first two floors, and then an atrium out of nowhere on the third floor. But the general idea is the same.
Here are five pics in the spoiler below (I wish there was a photo mode, since the angles aren't that good). First one is the atrium, second is the outside of the bedroom, third is inside, fourth is the closet, and fifth is the balcony (I would like some fences or something there). In this file, I also have a long walkway directly under the roof. For the closets, I am thinking of putting in the workbenches, etc.
What's Disney Dreamlight Valley like, does that have building features too?

I've put in six hours and loving it. Also got Enshrouded and Valheim but I'm gonna do one at a time. I'm also getting Nightingale next month when it releases. I want to support the devs. I'm getting so sucked in into these kinds of games. But Palworld first just because it's the first one I started and I love Pokémon.

Over 11 hours in. May not seem like much but I divide my time into 4 games. I am loving it. It kept overheating and crashing my 3 year old gaming PC so I have to play windowed with all settings down but now no crashing. The game is just a blast. Breeding, riding pokemon, boss battles, unlocking fast travel, things people have been asking Pokemon for years to no avail.
I changed my mind on Nightingale. I was invited to a crash the server beta but I never got in. And people are saying it's not ready for prime time, so I may wait a few days after release and see the comments, it seems to be in really rough shape even by EA standards.
Edit: Just found out Nightingale doesn't have an offline mode. Hard no from me, after Diablo IV, I swore I'd never again buy an online-only game again (Speedstorm is the exception).

This game is so addictive. 15.5 hours so far. There is just so much to do and you can take it relaxed or battle and have any kind of game you want.I'm on a never-ending game kick vs. a finite game (with a set ending) kick.

Caught all pals, defeated all bosses, leaving it until more pals and bosses are released. I may go back for Alphas, breeding, miscellaneous stuff like that now and then. Good ride (no pun intended).

Nintendo just filed a lawsuit.
This lawsuit seeks an injunction against infringement and compensation for damages on the grounds that Palworld, a game developed and released by the Defendant, infringes multiple patent rights.
Nintendo will continue to take necessary actions against any infringement of its intellectual property rights including the Nintendo brand itself, to protect the intellectual properties it has worked hard to establish over the years.

I can't find the graphic but there's 3 games next to each other, Palworld, Pokemon, and the game Pokemon was ripped off from.

What is the game Pokemon was ripped off from?

I guess there are some people that think Pokemon took some inspiration from the monsters in Dragon Quest but there's no way they're a rip off of them.

That's a huge stretch. Nothing about Pokemon makes me think of Toriyama art.

Right, it's nothing close to Pokemon -> Palworld at all.

Re: Palworld (Xbox Gamepass, PC)
That is laughable at best. I mean Toriyama's DQ designs are iconic and I won't say that others aren't influenced by it but rip off, no way.
I mean some of these are like "this is a crab, this is a duck, this is a dragon, etc."

I played Pokemon for six years and 30+ hours of Palworld. I think DQ->Pokemon is the same as Pokemon->Palworld.

Does DQ play a lot like Pokemon and Palworld?

If time played makes a difference, I have probably 5,000 hours in Pokémon games and 1,000 hours in DQ games. Nothing about Pokémon is taken from DQ other than both being turn based rpgs.
