Anyone play this on PS5 yet? How’s the DualSense controller with this one?

No shaking or anything while using lightsaber? No BD-1 chirping over the speaker?

I will check when I get home and let you know.
Last night I played for an hour and got ... not lost, but totally baffled as to where to go next.

^ I figured you’d be the first to know. Must not be noticeable. How’s the game though, thus far?

It's more that I haven't had much combat and was just trying to figure out how to attack and block first.

Speaking of which ;

It's installed on my PS5 but I probably won't be able to play it until tomorrow.

I actually saw that video yesterday. I’m still trying to decide which lightsaber stance to go with. I’m thinking the double-bladed.

Should've clarified - I don't really feel any trigger effects. There's resistance some times, but it's inconsistent. Could be an issue with my launch controller, too, it's seen a lot of miles.

The rumble is pretty good though. It's subtle and not teeth rattling.

And I don't know about the speaker - I wear headphones.

The force effects have good rumble. The lightsaber effects especially when performing a parry are pretty good. BD1 does have the occasional bloop from the controller speaker but it's really subtle.

How do you parry?

Edit - figured it out.

I never use performance mode but it makes me wonder how bad graphics mode is.

I'm about 4-5 hours in, playing on PS5. No issues with performance so far. I've been playing on quality but I may swap to performance to see the difference.

Did anyone else encounter the side quest at the first planet you visit to go into mines and kill a Rancor? I did that before advancing the MSQ at all (hadn't met Greez yet). I was able to kill it after quite a few attempts but nothing I've fought since has been even close to the difficulty. Thinking I may have tackled that one a bit too early.

I did the same. Think it took 2 shots. I could tell it was something good when I saw you had to jump down into a pit.

You killed it in 2 tries with all it's instant-kill moves??

Fuck, I think I had close to an hour of attempts before I killed that bastard.

Re: Star Wars : Jedi Survivor 4/28/23 (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, PC)

There are TONS of reports of performance issues, crashes and bugs on all platforms. Especially a nasty bug that is permanently removing XP when you die to a certain enemy. Apparently there was a PC patch that came out this morning and a console patch scheduled for tomorrow that is supposed to help with some of this. Looks like I'll be waiting a bit for some patches before I pick this one up.

Amazon has a $10 coupon available for all physical versions of this game right now.

No issues for me on PS5 so far.
I play on quality mode because the difference in FPS is not something I am sensitive to. If you asked me if any particular thing I am playing is running at 30 or 60 I would have no clue.

No issues on my end for the PS5. I am playing it in the resolution over performance, but there's no lag or anything like that.
