New Star Wars game from Respawn/EA. Sequel to Fallen Order.

I liked the first game a lot, so hoping it builds upon that.

I liked the first game -- especially the last 1/4 of it or so. I really, really hope they ditch the back-tracking nonsense to get back to your ship (assuming it's the same type of linear gameplay).

I loved Fallen Order as well. Sometimes tedious, but overall a great Star Wars themed video game.

I think I got the first one for $10 during BF in 2021 and it’s still in the plastic. I’ll get to this one eventually.

I kind of hated the first one. I kept getting lost and was super frustrated with the backtracking. I didn't come close to finishing it, and I never will.
But if this one has fixed a lot of the issues that bothered me about the first one, it might be a great game.

I wanted to like the first game but got annoyed with it and never wound up finishing either. Maybe I'll try to go back to it at some point as I've heard the story actually gets pretty good. For my taste some of the challenges were a bit tough. Plus I agree that the backtracking elements got annoying.

Same as others, I enjoyed most of Fallen Order but the backtracking and random exploring got tiresome. It's a great setting and I loved the ship, but it was just frustrating at times.

I hated the first but still finished. I absolutely want a Tomb Raider inspired game set in the SW universe, unfortunately Fallen Order fell short. Problem was every mistake Tomb Raider made 15 years ago was present in Fallen Order. It's like the developers hadn't played a Tomb Raider since the PS2.
That being said, I still want a kick ass Tomb Raider like game in the SW universe. Reviews for the first game ignored the flaws in favor of blind praise so I can't rely on those for this game. I'm also skeptical that the devs learned anything from hearing nothing but praise, but I'll remain moderately hopeful. SO.... I will probably get this when it's under $15 or a PS+/Gamepass freebie.

Definitely some frustrating bits in the first one, but I liked it enough to check this out. Hopefully they resolved/changed the annoying stuff from the first one.

I thought that looked really good. Great and different action shown, upgraded abilities. I liked and finished FO, so I am all for this.

I can live with that. At least it's not delayed until fall or something like that.

As revealed in Play Magazine, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor director Stig Asmussen confirmed that the sequel will include fast travel — as well as rideable mounts — to help players navigate Survivor's world quickly and more efficiently.
"We will feature both fast travel and rideable creatures to help players quickly get from point A to B and back to A," Asmussen told Play (thanks, GamesRadar). "The fast-travel is point to point, and the rideable creatures offer a way to quickly negotiate between points and explore what is in between."

I'll be interested to see how the leveling up occurs in this game - ie how many additional Jedi powers you can acquire (given Kal was very much powered up by the end of the last game).

I liked the first one so I'm really looking forward to playing this one. Would not be surprised if it saw at least one more delay into the fall though.

Well, it has a lightsaber set, so I’m not sure if that is just a lightsaber skin or actual lightsaber. Everything else says cosmetic.
