Hope everyone has room on their PC. Install comes in at over 140gb. Even larger than BG3.

re: STARFIELD (Xbox/PC 2023)

I freaked out so much this morning when I saw 158 gigs use of Internet yesterday and noticed Starfield auto-downloaded Gonna have to eat the 280 gigs (PC, Ally) this month and keep usage to 31 gigs daily (not hard).

I found BG3 too dark for the Ally so maybe this can be my Ally game and BG3 my PC game.

I can't imagine a game of this scale being played on a small little portable screen.

Yeah I ran into that problem with BG3, gonna try though, really need a long game for the portable since I'm stuck waiting a lot. The problem with BG3 other than the darkness is that there's tons of nooks and crannies all over to investigate. And I find myself that mouse and keyboard work better sometimes and find myself switching back and forth a lot with the controller and the M&K.

I wish MS had a Virtual Reality Headset

Game is going to be great but would be epic if you could play in VR

I tried some No Man's Sky in VR and found space flight in VR to be really nausea inducing.

Wow, forgot that this was coming out now right after Labor Day. Gonna have to buy my X-Box fairly soon, too.

I don't care for live action trailers for video games, but here's one they just released.

You know I had this preordered and didn’t realize it. I cancelled bc the footage I saw didn’t look like anything special. Am I missing something? What other games could you compare to?

It’s Fallout/Skyrim in space. Either you’re into that prospect, or you’re not.

Why not play it for free with Game Pass Ultimate instead of blind buying it?

re: STARFIELD (Xbox/PC 2023)

I hate space games and building and exploring but I love hype games and BG3 delivered and Starfield is going to be talked about for years so I'm all in with the Deluxe. I'm sure I'll find enough to do to merit the entrance fee. With bg3 I had never done D&D, crpgs, or the other bg games even though I own them because they've been given for free, and I hate m&k games. It was such a phenomenal game that I'm persevering through it instead of giving up.

I been thinking of ways to be evil in this game. First thing imma do is board a pirate ship and shoot the crew out into space 😈

Not really besides the very superficial ways both involve building ships and exploring a galaxy. Starfield is much more of an RPG, with narrative elements. No Man's Sky is more of a simulation/exploration type game.

You really don’t talk to anyone in No Man’s Sky. At least not that I remember.

re: STARFIELD (Xbox/PC 2023)

Do games like BG3 and Starfield come along every year or this is an anomaly? Because these games have huge hype surrounding them. I'm hoping Starfield is as big as a hit as BG3 (but still hope it's BG3 first and Starfield second for the year). I've only really gotten into gaming this year.

re: STARFIELD (Xbox/PC 2023)

Usually all Bethesda games have this kind of reaction. At least the Fallout/Elder Scrolls ones.
Bioshock. Red Dead Redemption. Star Wars. Ratchet and Clank. Spider-Man. All hype machines.

re: STARFIELD (Xbox/PC 2023)

Well Bethesda releases one game a decade. On a yearly basis, is this a weird year with a ton of biggies or is this what every year looks like? Because this year will be I think remembered as one of the greatest years in recent gaming history.

They’ve done other stuff. Dishonored was good. Doom. Wolfenstein.

re: STARFIELD (Xbox/PC 2023)

I cancelled my preorder. I'm going to keep Gamepass for the time being. See you all on regular release date. I feel better about this because it lets me test out the game.
