Though, to be fair, I've gotten that warning before and items still came in fairly non-descript cardboard boxes. If you looked closely, they'd still have item info on them, but I doubt they're saying it's going to be the plain retail packaging visible to thieves

Sony is requiring a signature for delivery. Don't know about Wal-Mart.

Yeah people are saying they have had that warning with other items and got it in a regular box. I didn't have to sign for a FedEx Xbox today when delivered.

My Target app now says it's pending and will arrive on the 17th, but there's no "shipping soon" notice yet.


EDIT - the website orders confirmation says that my order is "shipping soon" and that it wil arrive Wednesday the 18th. I guess I'm taking the day off to receive the package.

Same for my Walmart order even as of this morning.

My Amazon preorder along with 2 games show arriving tomorrow by 8pm yet none have shipped. Hopefully it flips sometime this morning.

My two games now show shipped with arrival by 11pm tomorrow. Those poor amazon drivers...

I think all Target orders are showing the 18th, but I would expect them to arrive well before then.

My Xbox Series X was shipped with some kind of Overnight Saver from UPS and... it did not get here overnight, it's supposedly coming today (they had promised it yesterday). Tons of complaints about similar things. So I wouldn't necessarily make plans for having your PS5 on time, it'll probably be a flip of a coin.

Ditto. No indication of anything on walmart.com (not even a tracking number). I was able to get the tracking number from fedex.com, but it's said the same thing since Sunday: that a label has been created, though nothing's been received or is moving. And my credit card hasn't been dinged yet.

From what people who preordered the Xbox Series X from Walmart are saying on other forums, that's not unusual for them.




Looking on ResetERA -- where, oh, hey, there's OldBoy! -- it looks like basically everything happened late afternoon on Monday for a lot of people for the XSX who wound up getting theirs at launch, so hopefully we'll see something similar for the PS5 later today.

My Amazon order shipped out today.

Anyone has the options for preordering the console tonight/tomorrow? I saw Gamestop will have some later tonight on their site. I would prefer to get it either from Amazon or Best Buy.

Just got a text update from FedEx a couple minutes ago that my Walmart preorder is on the move. No estimated delivery date listed, but it's less than 200 miles away, so I feel pretty good about tomorrow. And Best Buy confirmed that Miles Morales is on the way too.

Just got shipping notification from Target saying order has been shipped to arrive Tuesday. They FedExed it.

^ no movement on my Target order yet beyond "preparing to ship." I have a feeling this is going to end much like my XSX order.
But at least I'll have my two games before midnight tomorrow!

Evidently, the Target Xbox Series X pick up orders went live around 12:25ish AM CST, so I would guess about the same time for PS5 pick up orders.

Are Gamestop's only bundles like the Xbox ones? I refuse to pay for extra stuff I don't want or need. I don't think Best Buy had and stock of Xbox consoles on launch day, don't know if that is true for PS5 also.

They're being weird. My buddy in Texas ordered his from Target a few hours before I did and his order is still just as "order placed." No movement whatsoever.
