Just the PS Plus Collection of games that they give you for buying a PS5. PlayStation Plus isn't going anywhere.

Picked up Thumper on sale, considering Tetris. But with Advance Wars, RE4, and Zelda next week, there’s no extra time VR.

So, you can't play a game or do anything when you move files?

You quickly learn to never archive 4 or 5 games at a time, just one or two. Otherwise your system is out of commission for an hour or more. That's usually when the XSX sees the most action.

I stopped by Game Stop yesterday to ask (as I often do) if the PSVR2 would be coming in soon. The guy said “Yeah we got a bunch on Friday”.
So I drove home, grabbed the $500 of Game Stop gift cards I’ve been hanging onto since I sold my PS4 and Xbox One S, went back and it was a different guy (a real asshole to boot). he was unaware, but after I told him, he checked the back, then came back ano said yes they had some Horizon bundles. He scolded me for not spending $70 on the one-year warranty (Sony comes with one anyway), and I finally got mine!
I got home and I couldn’t get it to work last night. Rebooted. Tried everything I could think of. This morning I unplugged the USB-C cable, flipped it over plugged it in as hard as I could and it worked perfectly. Thank God.
Played some Rez, which I had apparently bought years ago — spent $10 on a PS5 upgrade. That game is amazing. Also bought the upgrade for Tetris Effect. Will check that out next.
Played a little of Horizon. It goes without saying that game looks amazing. I’ve played a fair amount of The Climb on Oculus Quest 2 so I am pretty familiar with that gameplay. It’s pretty similar here (without the Stamina). But man the combat is intense and tough! That is pretty wild.
I also own No Man’s Sky and GT7. Need to see how those play in VR. That should tide me over for a while, until the Kayak game has a sale.
I guess I also have RE : Village, but un-uh, I’m not trying that one. No way!

This should absolutely not be necessary and means you either have a damaged USB port on your PS5 or the USB connector on the cable itself is damaged. Given your luck with PS5s from the start, I'd swap it.

I was pretty worried about the USB-C port. But it's working good now, so
If not, can you use a USB-USBc adapter and plug it into a hast speed port on the back?

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

You can definitely try, but ensure the adapter is at least USB 3.0.
That said, I would not be surprised if you plug into the other ports and it tells you it won’t work. Devices can be weird that way.

Ratchet and Clank :Rift Apart comes to PS Plus Extra tier in May. Also that cute Japanese Pikmin-like Game Humanity will be a Day 1 addition.

I was kind of hoping Ratchet and Clank would make it to the normal PS Plus tier eventually but I guess there's really little reason to give it out there anymore.

Here's a little info on Humanity. And it turns out it's a PSVR2 game as well? That's even better!

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

I feel like a dumbass for having just figured out how Playstation Plus Extra works. I've had it since last November, and I was thinking that the "free" games through Extra worked like the monthly ones from the old Playstation Plus (now called "Essential"). That is, as long as you put in it your library during the time window the games were available you could always play them later. Much to my surprise, I go to play something I had downloaded through Extra (I had even started playing it before) only to be told I no longer had permission (without paying the full price for the game)

At one point I saw a "Last Chance" section on the PS5 interface ... but I searched everywhere and can't find it anymore. How much of a heads up do you get when games are leaving? There are a few things I really want to play that are still there. But I'd want as much notice as possible if they won't be there for long.

I've had it since November as well and haven't played one game. In fact the only game my PS5 saw was the Last of Us Part One.

Yes Playstation Plus Extra tier works like Game Pass where games come and go. What is more confusing is that Sony sends you an email confirming "purchase" when you grab an Extra tier game. Understandably one could assume you "own" the game at that point, but you don't. I don't think there's an official site for games leaving soon like Game Pass has, but here's the list of 36 games leaving in a few days.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

so, all of a sudden the PS store is letting purchase the Miles Morales UE, which includes Spider-Man remastered which i always wanted but it wasn't buyable. so what gives all of a sudden? is it wise to purchase MM since SM is leaving this week, i'm sure MM won't last too much longer? could be mistaken.

At very least wait for a sale. They won't pull it suddenly.

it just didn't used to be purchasable and i don't want to miss out on actually owning rather than borrow for an undetermined amount of time. i did already buy Spider-Man GotY. but not remastered.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Would buying this just overwrite my others already downloaded? Will I lose my place if I start SM remastered having played other version for a bit? Probably so huh?

No, you won’t. The save is transferable to the Remastered version.

Maybe I will wait. It’s not like I’m going to be playing anytime soon with HZD tying me up.
