I thought the restriction was that you couldn't pricematch a competitor and use cartwheel? I wouldn't think they would fuss too much matching their own site.

I've tried exactly that, price matching Target.com and applying a cartwheel and was denied more than once, but best of luck.

Ah, either way I'm not doing it. I think $20 to $25 is my limit on this thing, which shouldn't be much longer

I'm with matty though, I think I want it at $25. Because I'm using the controllers and not the actual crap machine.

Machines fine, just needs a self motivated software update

Got it for $35 at Target today after price matching it with Amazon.com and using the cartwheel. The trick to do this is to get another item that has a cartwheel discount. Since all the cartwheel discounts come from the same barcode on the app, it will apply it automatically on the PS Classic.

If we're going to step into the aftermarket, I still think the SNES comes out ahead.

The non-dual shock Playstation controller is not great. Not sure why anyone would want it just for that.

Re: Playstation Classic -- With 20 preloaded games

I had some gift cards at Best Buy so I caved and bought it there. It was $30 after tax. There was actually a Best Buy employee that stopped me and asked if I needed help. When I told him I didn’t, he pointed to the PS Classic and asked if he could stop me from making a bad purchase

They had a huge stack in front of the store. At least 50 or so. Target had at least a dozen out. It’s sad really.

That's hilarious.

But then I guess he still asked if you wanted the 2 year extended warranty for an extra $25.

I've gotten a few sticklers with this. Refused to scan any cartwheel barcode after doing a pricematch. Told me if I wanted to use a cartwheel for an item that wasn't part of the pricematch, I had to do separate transactions.

It's equally as great as any DualShock when playing digital games. I'd rather use one than have those tacked-on analogs sitting there for no reason.

I've been lucky enough that the only time it happened, a regional manager was there and told the local store manager to do it. After that, I never had an issue.

After rough debut, Sony slashes price of PlayStation Classic to just $60.

$60 is still too much for this as it is now.

Re: Playstation Classic -- With 20 preloaded games

Went to Target and thing scanned at $99, they price matched the website at $59 and then took my cartwheel for another 40% off so it ended up being around $36. Good enough for me

I'll likely get one once it hits the $50 mark. I would've paid that for a physical copy of Intelligent Qube anyhow.

Re: Playstation Classic -- With 20 preloaded games

It's only a matter of time before these hit clearance at Target. Even at $60, they are flooded with them. Then the question is pick up at $30 when it hits 50% off or roll the dice and see if there are still some left when they hit 70% off?

Speaking of which, I snagged a pretty cool shirt recently...

No longer available, unfortunately. It was one of those sneaky 24-hour things.

I think $20 is my sweet spot on this. It worked for the Dreamcast.
