It's like the Xbox One announcement all over again. You have a few people on board but the vast majority seem to hate the bulk of the system and features. MS was smart to change course (as they were d.o.a. The first few months). They listened to their customers and changed for the better. Nintendo? No chance in hell they take feedback from outside their little bubble.

I think with the WiiU + range! gimmick, terrible lineup and horrendous pricing they're dead in the water. The first couple of months will be skewed though, due to scalpers, which many have already admitted to.

I'm very meh on this, but preordered this morning due to the strong upgrade deals at Gamestop. Traded my WiiU and 15 games for the Switch, Zelda, Resident Evil 4 (on PS4) and $70 in leftover credit. I doubt I'll play it much beyond a handful of first party games, but I hadn't played the WiiU in months and was essentially done with it other than the new Zelda.

After reading this thread and reviewing everything, I'm out. Not getting the Switch. No backward compatibility bothers me.

I just preordered Zelda for the Wii U on Amazon. As a prime member, there is a $12 discount for preorder. $47 is not bad.

This game looks.... okay I guess. It's coming both in Physical and Digital copies to the Switch and just in a physical copy to the PS4. Apparently some weird licensing agreement between Ubisoft and Namco.

Puyo Puyo Tetris is generally regarded as the best Tetris other than the original. The Giant Bomb guys raved about it when they imported a copy.

No release date yet. This is a Japanese trailer, but it's listed on Amazon and bestbuy.com, so it appears to be getting an American release, despite not being on NoA's lists. Weird to see an official trailer have such a choppy framerate.

People have been surviving the 5 seconds it takes to swap a disc for the last 20 years of gaming so I think they'll manage.

Doesn't mean people haven't grown accustomed to modern conveniences. I sure as hell prefer digital, especially for smaller games like that, and enough so that I'd prefer NOT to buy a game like that on disc.

I'm pretty excited for the Switch. I'm down for portable Zelda for sure. I'm also interested in Arms, I am Setsuna, And Kart. I have mine pre-ordered.

Who's going to buy games digitally on this thing when space (even with a memory card) is at a premium? I know that's why I rarely bought games digitally for the WiiU.

I think a lot of us were underwhelmed with the reveal. Some were upset by the lackluster launch line up, some by the exceedingly high cost of peripherals, others like me felt that the system was at least $50 more expensive than we were expecting it to be. That's not "hating on the Switch those are legitimate criticisms of the system.

I took it to mean only the LE would be priced like that. I don't know for sure though.
