Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Of course it was never about the actual games, just the novelty of playing a video game in 3D. I can't imagine any desire to play this one for more than a few minutes.

I remember the Virtual Boy was practically being given away at $25 once it was a bust. For $100 now, it would be nice to have the controller at least.
The reputation/mythos of the Virtual Boy has improved over the decades.

That sucks. I thought the whole library was included.
Waterworld on Virtual Boy. That's a sentence. |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
The other thing about Virtual Boy is that on release, they said they were thinking about having it display 3 colors but it would then have been $500. Would be cool if they could develop one super basic game now that has multiple colors, but I know that would be asking for the moon.
