Hell YES!
This fabulous deal is finally back for Nintendo Online members. I've been waiting two years for it.

Looking at this list just shows me that I buy too many nintendo first party games. Only thing on there that I want is that Kirby game that's not released yet, everything else I either already have or wouldn't be a deal at 50 bucks a pop (even Bayonetta 3, which I'd normally be tempted by, was like 45 bucks on Black Friday)

^ Just to expound on that, Costco members can buy $100 of eShop credit instantly for $89.99. And buying the vouchers gives you 500 Gold Coins in the eShop. So for $90 Costco members can get two $60 first and second party exclusive Nintendo Switch digital games and $5 of eShop credit.
As of now, two preorder games are available : Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe and Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. Many recent full-priced Nintendo-exclusive games are available including both new Pokemon games, the brand-new Fire Emblem Engage, Triangle Strategy and Metroid Dread.

Unfortunately the upcoming Octopath Traveler 2 will be on every system and therefor not part of this promotion.

It should be noted that the vouchers are good for a year and it's almost certain that Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom will be eligible once it's able to be pre-ordered. Other games are certain to be added too in the next year.

The rumor is that we might finally get Advance Wars back on the schedule to be released since it was put on hold last year.

Maybe they made adjustments to the game. Didn't one of the armies look similar to the Russian flag?

Blue Moon is clearly based on the Russian army. Yellow Comet on Japan, and Orange Star on the US (and Green Earth on Germany, I think). And the bad guys on Nazi Germany. Did they change Blue Moon?

That's not an assumption that is why they delayed it. The invasion of Ukraine had just happened so even though the game was complete and ready to go they put it on hold.

I loved my Gameboy but I'm not all that eager to revisit those games except for nostalgia. GBA though? Awesome.
grr... online plus expansion pack only for GBA titles. They know me too well.
The long wait for Metroid Prime collection is over... later today. At least digitally.

Wait, a new Fantasy Life? That's all my daughter ever wanted. She's going to be soooo thrilled. That plus Splatoon 3 expansion
Wait, new Baseball Power Pros? Baten Kaitos collection? A new Etrian Odyssey remake? This is like the greatest hits of all past Nintendo consoles.

Inject that Pikmin game into my veins right now! But yeah that was a pretty killer Direct.

I was impressed with this Direct for sure, even though the biggest announcements were more confirmations than shocking reveals. I saw a ton of games I’m sure I’ll be picking up.

So….anyone else with an itchy trigger finger looking to pick up that Zelda Deluxe edition?

I still wish they would do a GB and GBA classic. How awesome would that be to have an officially released Nintendo product of those systems with updated screens. But with this announcement I think it pretty much kills that possibility.
Also yeah for Metroid Prime remaster with updated and classic controls! But boo on them for being separate releases.

So how far away is Metroid Prime 4 if they’re just releasing each individually?

Fucking finally. After an 8 year wait since it's announcement... I'll finally be able to get my hands on Pikmin 4.
So is Metroid 4k or just HD? Nintendo being Nintendo, I'm guessing the latter.

Right, but we're nearing end of life at this point so the next console should be 4k. You know it would be nice if Nintendo was actually planning ahead. Of course that depends on them carrying purchases over/backwards compatibility as well.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Huh? They haven't even discussed a new system so they are not going to announce that by listing a Metroid Prime remaster as being in 4k. That's not how these things even remotely work.

Played Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins tonight. I didn’t have a ton of GameBoy games as a kid really but I had all three of the Super Mario Land games and played the second one a bunch so it was fun to play again. I already have five of the six coins. Probably could have beat the game if I stayed up a bit later.

Zero percent chance that happens. To each their own but one reason for first party games I almost never buy digital. They’ve proven untrustworthy over and over again when it comes to digital content. They’ll one hundred percent shut down the servers at some point down the road and prevent you from having access to your games. But who knows, maybe with game updates and downloadable content, having physical media will be a moot point and you won’t be able to play a game regardless when the servers go down.
