I think they're last resolution on the issue is that they're considered "consumable" goods that have wearable components that just can't be fixed. -rolleyes- Are they still fixing joycons?

I've dropped the ball every time Travis Strikes Back: No More Heroes was on-sale. Will wait until it drops below $20 again.

I had the first game on Wii but never finished it, so this has been a wonderful experience jumping back in.

Funny seeing the internet say that was the best Direct ever and the only thing I was even remotely excited about was the Mario Kart DLC. A huge amount of the other interesting stuff (Klonoa remasters, Chrono Cross, Disney Speedstorm) is going to be on other systems so the Switch is the last system I would play those on.

I think I'd land in the "solid, though not really for me" camp in terms of that Direct. It's not like I needed to be sold on the new Kirby or Splatoon 3, but it's nice to see more of 'em anyway (although I'll never play that Salmon Run mode in Splatoon 3). The MK8 Deluxe Booster Course DLC is kind of a mindblower and a fantastic excuse to return to a game I haven't fired up in a few years. Plenty of other games looked neat, and I sent several trailers to friends of mine who don't tune into these sorts of things, but I didn't see anything else that I thought I would buy for myself.

My wife expressed interest in Advance Wars 1 + 2, which both does and doesn't surprise me. She was obsessed with Magical Racing Tour in the PSX days, so she's also intrigued by Disney Speedstorm. And we'll have to get Nintendo Switch Sports for local multiplayer.

Edit: wait! I forgot about the Klonoa collection. I'm not familiar with the series, but it definitely looks right up my alley.

Mainly interested in the Mario Kart DLC and new Kirby. Also may consider getting the port of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Out of all the non-First Party announcements, I'm the most excited about the Klonoa remasters.

I sold my copy of Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil (PS2) many years ago and have regretted it since, as it sells for about $90-100+ currently.

The First Party announcements were solid but nothing mind-blowing.

I will gladly pay 25 bucks for 48 more Mario Kart courses! Mario Strikers: Battle League and Nintendo Switch Sports looks like a lot of fun.

I was asking the wife if she wanted to buy those new tracks but she reminded me they would be included with the higher tier of the online service which we don't have.
Can anyone remind me what the other benefits of that are?

The AC stuff might be something my wife will want.
We'll probably end up joining. I often play the classic NES/SNES games on my Lite more than I do current Switch games.

It looks like fun, but $59.99 seems like a pretty steep price for a remastered Advance Wars 1 & 2. I was pretty surprised that they're asking full price for it. It's nice looking, but those are old and pretty simple games. I think I am going to wait for a sale on that title.

If the Advance Wars remake had come out on the Wii U, it probably would've been $29.99 or $39.99. But Nintendo doesn't price much of anything for the Switch below $59.99. There are some exceptions (like Big Brain Academy and Game Builder Garage at $29.99; Miitopia and WarioWare at $49.99), but they're rare.

The Advance Wars "remaster" looks like ass.
They should've kept it looking the same (which looked great) and just made it 16x9.
