They never announced that they were pulling them last time, they just pulled them one day. If they're are two games you want on the list, I'd buy two vouchers now.
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/20...alue_for_money https://nintendoeverything.com/ninte...-vouchers-faq/ There wasn't an end date announced for Europe and Japan, and the vouchers never went away there. The fact that Nintendo didn't announce an end date for US this time around may indicate they won't actually "go away" in the US this time. https://nintendoeverything.com/ninte...north-america/ |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I have a $100 eshop card for $89.xx (exact change I paid) if anyone wants it  (for what I paid). I was going to get Lego 2k drive for the switch but got an Asus ROG Ally instead.

That'll be cool - A gaming PC might open up some extra games you wouldn't normally want to play because you'll be able to install mods to change games or make them easier if needed: get to the story parts without having to bang your head against the wall.

Lol, oops! I've mostly seen you in console threads over the years! I guess the Ally will be portablier? :)
On the Switch front, I'm kind of tempted to try emulation, but it looks like a hassle. After trying Tears of the Kingdom on my 4K TV, I see what people were saying about the image quality - I'd love to play an even nicer-looking version. |

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Finished Picross S9, 31:37:23. After decades of Picross, the Picross e and s series always get it right. Got the no assist flag on, full stars. Don't know if I want to get into anything else so I'll just try to get better at Lego 2K Drive and continue my daily Speedstorm until Diablo gets here. These always take me about 30 hours so right on the money.

A new smurfs Kart racer just got released for forty bucks and the graphics look so bad I wouldn't pay more than five bucks for it.

Sigh.
I would love a good Smurfs game on the console. |

The original Harvest Moon was just added to Nintendo Switch Online. I'm going to have to renew my membership now. I've been wanting to play it for awhile.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I ended up renewing my Nintendo Switch Online last night. I had a $5 rewards certificate from Best Buy that I could use so I got it for $5 off. I opted for the expansion pass. I played through a couple days of Harvest Moon before I went to bed. Now they just need to get Harvest Moon 64.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Looks like a great event. I'm guessing it's more of a fan event then an announcement type event. I guess they'll do a Nintendo Direct to announce their next console. So is E3 totally dead now?

I don't think Nintendo had announced the Switch at E3, usually don't they do it in a Japan-centric event/conference? |

Fire Emblem Game Boy Advance (The Blazing Blade) coming to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on June 23rd.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
My dumb project for today...! I've imported a couple of Switch games from Hong Kong, since Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher only got a digital release in the US and SD Shin Kamen Rider Rumble didn't make its way here at all. Both came with preorder DLC, but I couldn't use it with my American account. So I created an alternate Nintendo account with the region set as Hong Kong, navigated the eShop in Chinese (no English option), and punched in those codes. Then I bought a couple of Hong Kong eShop gift cards so I could grab the season pass for SD Shin Kamen Rider Rumble.
Apparently so long as one profile has access to this DLC, all profiles will, so I should be able to play using my regular ol' American account. Will any of this be worth it? We'll see! |
