Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I feel like for $60, Links Awakening should have voice acting for all the dialogue. As-is, I'd probably pay $30 at most.

Europe, that steelbook is awesome

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I don't get why the US is getting the art book but not the steelbook. |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Well, that makes it much easier for me to just use a Voucher on that game.
I did pre-order that sweet Amibo though -- my first one purchased in over a year. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...912b389aea.png |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I'm a sucker and still preordered the US special edition with artbook. And the Link amiibo. And the other amiibos they just put on preorder.
Oh well, one less game to use a voucher on. |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Game of the fucking year right here!
|
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Damn that sucks. I totally would have been a sucker with those exclusives. Really disappointed we didn't get any info on Metroid Prime 4. How long has it been now with zero information?
|
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
What information do you want at this point? They just started over on it. |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I thought at minimum they would mention Metroid Prime Trilogy on Switch.
|
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
...especially because that trilogy has supposedly been complete for a long while. I wonder if we'll see it early next year (similar to the flood of Wii U ports we saw early this year), or if they're holding it back until Prime 4 is a little closer to feed on that pent-up interest while also promoting the sequel.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Knowing Nintendo, they're probably weighing the possibility of releasing each remaster separately for $60 each.

This kind of looks ugly and unwieldy and yet I really want it, if only for the sticks and dpad. https://kotaku.com/hori-s-grip-contr...lut-1835487835 |

I learned long ago that non-first-party controllers are a waste of money.

Even MadCatz before they died tiptoed into legitimacy with their Street Fighter sticks. |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Hori is generally an exception to that rule. BUT I logged in to post that they've disappointed a bit of late.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
That European exclusive Steelbook for Link's Awakening is awesome. Almost might consider importing that.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
The new Zelda game looked cool and all, but then I saw that it was a rhythm game. Ugh.
|
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
The original is on sale for $4 right now. This sorta-sequel is $25. Try the first one now and if you enjoy it enough, get Hyrule some time in the future. It’s pricey. |

And we bought it yesterday. ;) |

There's also a remake of the Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening the gameboy game that's coming out in September. The third announced title is a Breath of the Wild sequel. |

You know there's three different Zelda games right? The one you posted is indeed a rhythm game that just came out based on the necromancer title.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I would love to get The Legend of Zelda, Link's Awaking but I have no idea when I would get to play it. My daughter plays the Switch all the time now that her summer vacation from school has started.
