This thing is awesome. Like COD + Pacific Rim.

Some weird shit happened where I went back to resume my campaign and it was gone - my last checkpoint save. It made me start from the beginning. That's some bullshit.

It happened because of your NAT type

You should do some recon on that...

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

I finished the campaign and must say the game surprised me and was really good and fun to play. Overall I'd give a 8.5-9.

I didn't play the first obviously (on the PS4) but the added SP campaign had me wanting to give it a try. They did a real good job balancing the time as Pilot and Titan play where the style and action was different and kept the game going. I had fun playing both ways equally. I didn't feel overwhelmed with choices and loadouts yet there still was enough to use and try. The Cloak feature was cool to play doing the sneak behind takedowns. Several of the guns were cool to use.

The action was good but the parkour added a nice twist with some somewhat challenging....that one with "Present & Time" kicked my butt. But of course playing the Titan was always a blast. The HUD was right on and felt the movement and mecahnics solid. And he too had some neat Toys to play with. The Trial By Fire mission I wanted to play over and over again. That could've had a potential of being a two-player co-op mini mission/horde type mode easily.

If anything I was impressed with the maps along with the detail especially metal and machinery. Hands down some of the best 'Factory" layouts I've seen in a game. And they nailed the details on anything metal looking down almost too good. It was pretty impressive. As far as maps....without giving away much..."Past & Present"...was way to cool. Someone needs to make a game just using that. Great time playing....sadly time to trade in for either Horizon: Zero Dawn or For Honor...

I need to start back up on this. I got too much into infinity War, so I need to play this again.

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

I would have finished by now if I stopped playing the multiplayer. Titanfall 2 and Overwatch are the only two multiplayer games I could get into. I love playing CTF and Hardpoint. Mixtape if fun too for messing around.

Loved the single-player campaign on this. It was a lot better than I expected.

Multiplayer is fun, but the learning curve is high (or, maybe, I just suck at FPS games now). It's very fast and chaotic. I die a lot.

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Once you learn the maps you can adapt your play style if you're not too good at the parkour. There are "camping" spots, which I know people hate, but from there you can start getting more comfortable with the movement system without dying so much. If you want to go overpowered, use the Devotion as your primary, and then rock Tone as your titan.

Personally, I am having a lot of fun using Northstar right now.

I'm using:
Pilot

Phase Shift
EVA-8 SHOTGUN (GunRunner + Tactikill)
MGL Mag Launcher or Archer (which is great from long range)
Firestar

Titan:
Legion (Overcore + Bubbleshield)

I was primarily a cloak person, but the phase shift really comes in handy when you're taking damage or trying to make a run for your titan.

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

For me it's:

Pilot:
Cloak
Hemlock (Quickdraw and tactikill)
Mag launcher (Quickdraw and reload)
Firestar

Titan:
Northstar (Bigger rocket explosion and nuclear eject)

I find very little more fun than trapping someone with the tethers, and then I nuclear eject and kill them. I end up having my next Titan before I finish ejecting.

That nuclear eject is a bitch to deal with. Practically no protection against it unless you Phase Shift.

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Most Titans can get out of range with just one dash. Ronin actually has the best counter for it with the Phase Shift since it automatically breaks the tether.

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Finished the campaign tonight. So after playing the major fall shooters, here is how I would rate them:

Titanfall 2
CoD IW
Battlefield 1

I had a blast with it and it's easily the best shooter campaign I've played in quite some time. Hopefully the multiplayer stays active, it should help that map packs will be free. So no one will be blocked off this time by a paywall like the last game.

Titanfall 2 is the DOTD at Best Buy today. After GCU, it's $20 for the standard version and $28 for the deluxe version.

Started playing around with the grappling hook. Holy crap, that is a lot of fun when you get the hang of it. You can really fly around the map.

Loving the Live Fire mode, just wish there were more LF maps.

Oh don't you go trying to guess how smart or educated I am... You are the one struggling with Google and that damn 2D/3D thing... And it'll stay relevant for a long time. It's one of the mist asinine threads in ages; I'll help keep it relevant 😀
