Certainly a fair point if that's someone's primary reason for signing up for EA Access. Your previous point seemed to ignore what I'd imagine is the most popular reason people sign up for EA access, the free games, hence my response.

It's more surprising that there wasn't an official statement about it.

re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

I haven't read any reviews, what are they saying about the single player campaign? General feelings about the length and depth, or if it felt like a tacked on feature.

They are saying it's pretty decent from what I've read. A little depth, puzzle solving, typical FPS elements, about 6-7 hours and not tacked on at all...

Titanfall 2 Won't Have A Season Pass; All Upcoming Maps Will Be Free

Respawn has confirmed that Titanfall 2 won't have a Season Pass, and that all maps for the game will be free for all players of the title.

The first map up for offer will be the Angel City map, which is a remastered version of one of the most notable maps of the original game.

Respawn has issued a statement on the Titanfall website that reads:

“[This DLC practice] means no splitting up the community and it all starts with the legendary Angel City map, remastered from the original Titanfall. This means once you’ve purchased Titanfall 2, your investment includes a full single player campaign, the full multiplayer maps and modes, and long-term support with no hidden costs. You can pre-order the game to play 3 days early, but it will never cost you extra.”

What's added to the deluxe version that makes it $20 more expensive?

So $20 extra for some cosmetic shit you can't really even see due to it being a first-person game? Sheesh.

Glad this is getting good reviews. I'll probably pick it up in a couple weeks.

What platform is everyone getting this on?

re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Played this for an hour last night on PS4 and damn this game looks nice. Easily one of the best looking games I have played in a while. The game itself is a hell of a lot of fun and I can see why it's been getting good reviews. I hope this game doesn't get buried under all the releases before Christmas as it deserves to sell well. I have a lot of games on my plate at the moment so will probably put this to one side until I complete the others, but really looking forward to completing the campaign and playing some multiplayer.

I'm leaning towards picking this up (my pre-order is waiting for me to pick it up at Best Buy) and forgetting about CoD Infinite/Modern Warfare.

re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

I would certainly recommend picking it up. I think the COD series has really burnt itself out in recent years by offering too many yearly outings that started feeling very stale and similar. Its one of the reasons i have loved playing Battlefield 1 as the WWI setting actually feels fresh to the genre (even though older time periods have been covered).

Having said that, i will still pick up COD Infinite but it will be mainly for the remaster of Modern Warfare. I am really looking forward to a remaster of Modern Warfare 2.

re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Thanks for the input, james. I might still pick up CoD, but I already played through the MW Remastered campaign (it was fantastic) and tried the Beta (miserable, I couldn't play for more than a few seconds before getting killed with one-hit kills and the like). I'm on the fence with that one.
Glad to hear this game is fun. I liked the first one for a while. Also glad that I won't need to buy any maps to stay active in MP. I don't usually buy MP DLC, so it's attractive to buy games that don't "require" it.

re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

I was a big fan of Titanfall 1, so I just ordered this one for XboxOne again. My friends on PS4 are mostly BF people so no point getting it for that system.

I would love to play MW1 online, but I'm not buying Infinite Warfare for that.

Got mine yesterday and installed it... along with an auto update. I've yet to play - so hopefully tonight.

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Hey james....have you started the SP mission yet or dived in MP? Also the more you put out there...without all the spoilers of course....like overall play, story, mechanics, etc....the better.

I looked on my friends list and have yet to see a single person playing this and somewhat shocked not a lot was put out there for the release....but by gosh you see hype everywhere on COD....

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

According to an EA earnings call, they slashed the sales projections for Titanfall 2 from 9 million to 6 million and said that the first week sales have been disappointing. WTF were they thinking releasing it back to back with Battlefield 1?

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Sorry I have been dealing too much with Skyrim and its Mods. I will play it a bit tonight and try the multiplayer out and see what it's like.

I have started the single player campaign and maybe an hour or so into it. Loving the action, the movement, the style and graphics are top notch. I like the feel of he character. Doesn't feel like anything that we haven't seen before from a character, but it's done so smoothly that it's a pleasure to play. Weapons seem to be solid as well and give a nice effect.

I had not played The original Titanfall but I do remember thinking it looked nice and a good concept. From the reviews it sounded like it ended up being flawed. Well judging by this they must have taken criticism to heart and wanted to put out the best product they could. Not had a single slow down, stutter or error. I know it's early days for me, but it's a quality product so far. Will be back in a few hours to write up the MP experience.

Power outage as I was about to boot this up last night. Will get onto it today as soon as I get back from home and report on the multiplayer.

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

So i got round to playing multiplayer last night and i had a blast. As i didnt play the first game i can't compare the two, but it felt very fast, slick and a whole lot of fun. Running , jumping and bouncing off walls was great. Its been a long time since i was really invested in online Multiplayer (seriously...the original Unreal Tournament and Counter Strike Source were the last games that i put a lot of time into online). For me this game has lived up to my hopes and its a solid game all round. I was going to pick up the new COD game, but it sounds to be a weak entry in the series so i will stick with the MW remaster and put my game time into more Titan Fall 2 instead.

Re: Titanfall 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Oh yea...Unreal Tournament...one heck of a game. I even had the 360 version and frankly liked that but the PC version rocked.

I've read a bit more into this and I would say it's on my Black Friday list. I still have destiny, Fallout 4 and haven't even opened Doom yet. How big are the teams in MP and what type of modes?
