Even the new games are retreads. Last year we had Titanfall, Destiny and Sunset Overdrive which were all derivative as fuck. This year we had Bloodborne which was just a retread of another series (alright truth be told I disagree with this as it plays a good bit differently from the * Souls games, but there are a lot of similarities and it gets called out a lot). And The Order 1886 which was derivative of other terrible games.

While I thought Destiny was a steaming pile of shit, I loved Titanfall as it has hands-down some of the best FPS multiplayer mechanics (despite the game's lack of content) and Sunset Overdrive was a lot of fun.

I know everyone wants Fallout 4, but if we could ALSO get remastered Fallout 3/New Vegas, I'd be thrilled.

Dark Souls 2 was a pretty big financial success, so that's not surprising. A little sooner than expected if true, though.

Apparently nothing from Quantum Break at E3, although they'll have stuff at Gamescom in Europe.

Looks like Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be shown off at E3.
http://www.polygon.com/2015/6/9/8752...-catalyst-dice Developer DICE revealed the name of its new Mirror's Edge game today: Mirror's Edge Catalyst. The follow-up to 2008's Mirror's Edge, Catalyst "is not a sequel," senior producer Sara Jansson wrote on the game's official website. "The first game had a lot of promise," Jansson said. "It was unlike anything else in terms of the gameplay and style — it had a unique soul. But as much as we loved that game, we knew it could be more. So that's what we have set out to do as we introduce Mirror's Edge to a new generation. "The team has spent a lot of time re-evaluating every aspect of the game and making it a new experience. This is not a sequel, this is not Mirror's Edge 2. We have landed on a vision that honors the first game — pushing the boundaries of first person movement and diving deeper into the story behind our heroine Faith — but also brings a lot of great new, interesting gameplay and features to the experience for our players." Jansson confirmed that Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be present at E3 2015 next week, where we can expect to learn more about the game. Publisher Electronic Arts will hold its E3 media briefing on Monday, June 15 at 1 p.m. PT. |

Can we officially name this generation the remaster generation? Jesus.

Not until they announce Red Dead Remastered before Red Dead Redemption 2. On second thought, I'll take that bet.

Re: The Official E3 Thread of Xbox One Superiority - June 16-18, 2015
I miss the days of E3 surprises. Now we know everything before thanks to leaks and press releases. That's why the Sony games-on-discs was such a big story -- we didn't know it before the conference. Those sort of big announcements is what made E3 fun. I hope we get a few big, unexpected announcements during the conferences this year.
