Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

Star Wars Battlefront will be a first- and third-person shooter; players can choose which perspective suits them best.
This shit right here should be standard on more games.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

The ability to still swap perspectives is the one detail that is keeping me looking on the positive side. I was fearful that DICE would just turn the series into "Battlefield with a Star Wars skin".

(Mind you, I love both franchises, but separately)

Don't know if I've ever seen a game where this feature is implemented well.

And, I'm not entirely sure why I'd want to do it in a Battlefield game other than to drive vehicles, which is how it already works.

Solid trailer. Guess we'll be getting gameplay at E3.

As long as they don't do away with split-screen I'll be a happy camper.

The cinematic of that trailer was amazing but I'll wait until I see the gameplay before buying it on the PS4.

No campaign and centered around multiplayer?

I'm sad to say I'll have to pass.

Yup, the reason it isn't done on more games is because games are typically designed for a particular perspective and changing that throws things off. I'm skeptical any game can pull that off so that it's actually effective.

Yes!

Although I am worried about the focus on multiplayer.

That might be a sticking point to a lot of gamers. But then again for what little we know, though no traditional SP campaign, it will feature "several crafted co-op" parts....but there is the big question, to what extent, how many, size, what role they will play, etc...I'm not much of a MP but you have to admit a 40 player game in Star Wars sounds pretty fun.

Agree.

The trailer was awesome, then I read about single player. I dont play online. Just give me this game where I can play THE WHOLE GAME by myself.

That's what I thought as well. Those are like pre-order bonuses. Is it in a Steelbook or something?
