yeah I hate to say it but it was way more fun before. I died a lot, but at least I was able to take down a few too.

Ugh, that is disheartening to hear. Haven't tried out the new patch yet. How is the RoF nerf to the DL44?

This sucks to hear. My primary source of kills was the homing missile... I'm not sure I'll touch this game again until the new maps come out.

homing missile was a lot of fun for sneaky kills. i'm not quick enough with aiming the normal blaster to get headshots and stuff. i usually relied on the homing missile and sniper rifle

I played a little today for the first time since the new DLC. I didn't use the DL-44 since I was playing bigger maps on Walker Assault but I did notice fewer people using the DL-44 and more people using the T-21/T-21B and EE-3, the two guns I prefer. In my opinion, I think they should have kept the DL-44 rate of fire the same but lowered the power to 45 so it takes three hits to kill instead of just two.

I also noticed very few people using the Homer missile anymore. I tried it out to see how the nerf affected it and it's pretty much useless now since the lock-on takes so long now (almost triple the time than before), plus it's speed was significantly reduced so it's much easier to evade. I did notice that just scanning people with it, makes them stop shooting at you since they get a lock-on warning. I also noticed MANY more people using the Pulse Cannon - green lasers flying everywhere!

I for one think the game play is better. Sure, I can't use the homing missile for cheap kills, but I am also not being targeted by a homing missile everytime I turn around. I had just got the bowcaster too, now I hear it is almost useless. I haven't even tried. it.

I agree, these nerfs make for an all around better game experience. There were some games where you couldn't get to two steps before getting locked on and having to duck or evade.

On the larger games (Turning Point especially) people are playing the objective better since they really can't camp on the outskirts and take people out at long distances like before, makes the game more competitive. There was nothing I hated more than being on a team full of distance campers that never try to take the objectives.

Still not picked this up. Finally got internet at home a couple of weeks ago, so might try grabbing it before Gamestop gets the hell out of dodge.

^ Nice!

Played for a bit last night. Pulse Cannons are definitely the new Homing Missiles now and the DL-44 is useless.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

New Endor map, Survivors of Endor, came out yesterday. Large scale map for Turning Point, Supremacy and Walker Assualt. Fantastic looking and playing map. The ash particle effects and the shimmering spiderwebs in the tunnels and my favorite, the waterfall at the end of one of the tunnels really make this a standout map as far as visuals.

It's also pretty darn chaotic, lots of choke points and that last defensive position on Turning Point...yikes! Next up is the first paid DLC.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

Been grinding away on this lately with some of the new updates, Outer Rim, Hutt Contracts etc. Just unlocked the Mandalorian Strength trait and have a feeling this will get nerfed immediately. Allows you to deal more damage from your blaster when you're hurt. I leveled this up to LV 3 and felt like I was getting one hit kills with the E-11.

I see it says Microsoft. Is that for Xbox only or for PS4, too?

PS4 had it for free a week or two ago. That's when I picked it up, even though I don't have the game. Free is free . Figured maybe the base game would be a PS+ freebie at some point.
