buddy and blasted through the rest. the last boss battle is crazy long. on regular difficulty, we did it in like 25 minutes. then you can do it again with more difficulty and it took us 50 minutes. the ending is pretty good as to why things are as they are in BL2. overall, i'm satisfied with the purchase. fun game .

Doppelganger Jack is available on PS3 right now. Having some fun with him.

On my claptrap, I have reached pirate ship mode. This mode is hysterical, my friends love when they hear the music start up. It's super powered and will mow through enemies, IF you land the cannon balls.

So I finally finished this (ALL quests, at level 30), and while I enjoyed immensely, I have zero desire to do a 2nd playthrough like I did with the last two Borderlands. I might be up for some DLC down the line, but even that's not for sure.

I am playing it again on True Vault Hunter with Nisha and the difficulty jump is huge! Its basically Borderlands 2's difficulty difference between Normal and Ultimate Vault Hunter mode.

Thought Deadlift was a problem on the first run? True Vault Hunter will send you to very angry town, very fast. I raged quit a lot and eventually just had to keep farming for slightly better weapons in normal mode. I eventually got marginally better weapons and still died three times and spent three hoursish to finally take him down.

You level up fast in this game, even in TVH, but the weapon drops still pretty much suck. Level 35 TVH assault rifle that only does 238 damage?!

I really want some good DLC but 2K Australia confirmed the Season Pass is different from Borderlands and Borderlands 2, The Pre-Sequel season pass will offer 2 character downloads, a level cap upgrade, and one campaign add on. This is pretty weak in my opinion since it means any more campaign add ons are seperate purchases.

Yeah, totally. The vending machines have far better guns/gear than any drops. Unfortunately, I rarely had enough money on me to buy the good guns from the vending machines before they would disappear.

Really? Good thing I didn't get the season pass then. I don't care about any of that except for the campaign add-on.

Maybe now I'll go back to Destiny... nah!

I didn't get the Pre-Sequel season pass either, I was tempted when I bought the game. They promised a savings of $10 but with this setup... 2 characters at $10 each equals $20, Campaign add-on for another $10, then the level cap upgrade which was $5 for BL1 & BL2. So that's $35 of content for $30 with the pass, a savings of only $5.

I got BL2 free with my PS+ membership and the significant content of the campaign add-ons convinced me to buy the Season Pass then I spent another $7.50 during the recent sale a month ago for the other smaller campaign add-ons. Plus since Gaige was on sale too and offered a ton of extras with her character, $5 for that add-on.

That's a lot of money from my "free" game. But the Pre-Sequel is not enticing me to throw out a lot of money this time. I am tempted to get Hammerlock's sister character DLC to get that missing story. And depending on how 2K Australia decides to support The Pre-Sequel maybe the campaign add-ons... of course, if its just a single sole add-on. I'll pass on it.

I'm struggling to get through this one. Level 28 and starting the last story mission. Once I'm done with it I'm done with the game. Can't say I'm a fan of the setting, and while most here like the low gravity, jumping around from sweet spot to sweet spot, can't say that I am a fan of that either. I've enjoyed myself during the run, but it's by far my least favorite Borderlands.
The DLC content doesn't look all that appealing. To many good games out this time of year to keep plugging away at this.
I heard the last boss can be a pain, just hoping I can get through it by Wednesday to get 30 bucks back.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's 'The Holodome Onslaught' DLC Officially Announced

2K Games and Gearbox have officially announced that the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack" The Holodome Onslaught will be the next chunk of DLC coming to Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, giving you the opportunity to play through the game for a third time if you fancy.

You may remember reading about the DLC last month, when we managed to get hold of the Holodome achievements.

Coming later this month, the add-on brings new narrative content and includes appearances from Vault Hunters Gaige the Mechromancer and Axton the Commando, having recently returned the Crimson Raiders HQ. They ask Athena to recount an abridged version of The Pre-Sequel's story as they missed out on the events, meaning all of the "juicy, violent stuff".

This is played ut as The Holodome Onslaught, as Athena tells the tale, giving you a new challenge arena to battle through against waves of enemies, including a few new ones. There'll be new weapons, new class mods and a few new heads and skins. The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack is also included as an added bonus, raising the level cap to 60.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught DLC will be coming on December 16th for $9.99/£7.99, or you can get it as part of the Season Pass.

That explains the "$10 savings" the season pass offers: 2 character downloads - $20, UVH upgrade with "new area" - $10, and campaign add on - $10.

Still not enticing me to do the season pass. And with the really awful unbalanced difficulty, I'm sure UVH is just going to be a even more of chore to work through. I don't even get the "abridged" part unless they are actually excluding missions during the third play through.

And what's with the "horde" mode add-ons so far? The Shock Drop Slaughter Pit was a five level, multi-wave horde mode. Now we get another one with the UVH upgrade to justify the $10 tag?

I think I'll save $20 and just get Tales From the Borderlands season pass.

That DLC doesn't sound it has any actual new content, as far as new levels/environments and stuff, so pass.

Borderlands gets the bundled current-gen release we always knew it would

http://www.destructoid.com/borderlan...d-286397.phtml

Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel with cross-saves

Rumors have circulated for months that Gearbox Software's Borderlands would be the recipient of some sort of upgraded port to current consoles. In fact, speculation was so strong that it was more a matter of what titles would be bundled together, as opposed to wondering if the collection existed at all.

2K Games broke the shroud of mystery today by revealing Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. The package, which is a play on main antagonist Handsome Jack's name, bundles Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel along with all downloadable content ever released for both games. The Handsome Collection will be available on PS4 and Xbox One on March 24 in North America and March 27 in other regions, and it'll retail for $59.99.

Maybe the best news to come out of this announcement is that those that have played one or both titles before don't have to worry about losing their established characters. The Handsome Collection will feature a cross-save system meaning that characters and Badass Rank can be carried over from previous-gen consoles. It's important to note that this only works within the same console family (i.e. Xbox 360 to Xbox One). This bundle will also support four-player local co-op in the event that you want to have a meeting of Vault Hunters all on one screen.

It may not be the first foray onto new consoles that Borderlands fans necessarily wanted, but it's definitely the one that was expected. The Handsome Collection is yet another clear indicator of the franchise's importance to 2K. But, we'll have to wait a bit longer to hear of the next original installment on Pandora.

Re: Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel- (PS3, 360, PC) Fall 2014

Bummer that the cross-save feature isn't cross platform like it is in Diablo III and GTA V Online. I got my best friend to upgrade from his 360 to a PS4 last Fall and we'd played a lot of BL2 (though only with one character each -- maybe this is a good excuse to dive back in and try a new class).

I'd say this is the least-surprising video game announcement ever, but I read in one of these morning press releases that there wasn't going to be any visual upgrade with the Next-Gen version. If that's the case, I would be really surprised.
In any case, at least I'm glad I waited on the Pre-Sequel and didn't get it for a 360.

There's has to be some performance upgrades. I mean, the way the textures load has always been an issue, and there does tend to be slow-down when things got hectic. I don't see why the next-gen systems couldn't handle these games, no visual upgrade, but at 1080p and at least with a rock solid 60 frames per second.

The articles and video clearly state that it is remastered. I would assume 60fps and better textures.

I might pick this up, as I have never played the pre-sequel, and my 360 save will import. However, the lack of Borderland 1, the best one, disturbs me.

Surprised they didn't do an entire bundle and include the first game. I never really played these games, maybe this is a reason to.

No way, not even the DLC.

Out of the 4 for Bl1 (Zombie Island, Moxxi's Underdome, General Knoxx & Claptrap Revolution), only Zombie and Knoxx were worth a damn. Moxxi's was just a battle arena, and the Claptrap one had the worst Bl levels I've ever played.

Out of Bl2's DLCs (Pirate, Torgue, Hammerlock, Tina's Dragonkeep), only Hammerlock's left something to be desired, and the rest were good to great. Then there's the 5 Headhunter DLCs, which totaled to one big one, which is also pretty good, with new enemies and varied environments. So yeah, even with DLC Bl2 trounces Bl1.

I agree with slop. Tina was BY FAR the best DLC in the series. Loved, loved, loved that expansion.

I enjoyed Borderlands 1 far more than 2 in general (DLC definitely excluded -- Moxxi's Underdome is the worst DLC I've ever played), but I think a lot of us have rose-colored glasses when it comes to that game because of memories of the experience of playing it. It sort of makes sense that they're leaving it out, because it had a lot of issues that a remaster wouldn't resolve.

They both had one excellent DLC (Tina and Knoxx), one good DLC (Zombie and Pirate), and two middling to bad DLCs.

Toss up.

Question - I mistakenly sold a "Personal Item" (echo?) that was in my inventory. (I had saves from BL1 and BL2 on my hard drive.) What was that and will I miss it?

Comment - Not being able to 'junk' items, but only 'favorite' them, is annoying.

I like that the player character has more personality, and I like how the storylines weave together (I'm level 7, so not that far into it.)

PAX EAST 2015: GEARBOX REVEALS BORDERLANDS: THE PRE-SEQUEL FOURTH DLC RELEASE DATE

Claptastic Voyage will launch March 24 in North America and March 27 internationally and will be available to players who purchased the season pass.

The new expansion takes place in Claptrap's mind and bridges the gap between Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2. The DLC will feature new levels and a new story, including new equipment called "glitched gear." Players will get to "experience Claptrap's hopes, dreams fears, and stupidity."

Gearbox has also revealed that the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 will add bonus content and is the final add-on pack for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's season pass. The upgrade pack will increase the game's level cap to 70.

Claptastic Voyage and the new upgrade pack will be available as a package for $10 USD or players can purchase the season pass for $30 USD.

Re: Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel- (PS3, 360, PC) Fall 2014

For those who experienced "features" during the second or third run throughs on TVH or UVH, the long promised patch is coming tomorrow.

A big complaint was that nearly all of the bosses never respawned so farming them was out of the question. Also, some folks like me, experienced a disappearing "Bruce" so we could never complete the Another Pickle mission.

The patch finally addresses that and more bosses will respawn when you leave the map. Thus making it possible to finally complete that mission. Now, because of how stupid 2K Australia was in developing the game with Gearbox: Zarpedon is the only boss that will never respawn. They can't patch it because of how she initially spawns in the game so her loot pool can be farmed from the Sentinel.

There are other fixes too to address the numerous complaints about the game.
