I'm at 900 HP now, so I'll probably have a week or two to make up my mind.
Honestly, I'd play around with him at 4 and see if you can do well with him. It will probably be a little while until that is an award, but you may find that you are doing well enough without that 5th cover. If you don't have any characters that use yellow or black (besides him), then it might not be that worthwhile to you.

I can't completely disagree because I don't have my 5th blue yet, but the final cover adds yellow and black stealing which feeds his other powers. It seems to me that he's not really complete without it.

I got a 3-star Daken from the last round of prizes and sold my 1-star Iron Man because my roster was full. And then I see the newest PvP event requires one-star heroes. Ffffffuuuuuuuu

If this becomes a thing, I might pick up Juggernaut. He's an annoying mother fucker and I could pair him with Hood... that's a combo I would definitely skip.

you know what else is bullshit? so the app has restarted on me several times over the past month. instead of being exactly where you are, you end up out of the match. your health is fucked up and you don't gain any points. total bullshit.

I'm glad I kept Iron Man and Storm around, although i probably won't spend much time on this PvP.

I like this 1-2-3 event a lot because it really forces you to experiment with different team combos. a buffed Juggs is one scary dude. I am currently running Patch, 2* Daken and 1* Storm. Storm hides behind both. Her black skill hits like a train after I lay down Patch's green.

Plus Storm's yellow skill generates Team-Ups which are now more fair and fun!

I do like them a lot more now that I can delete all the 17 AP ones I will never use. I also kind of like the idea of sending power ups to others, but I am not sure how I feel about how long you can't play with that character once you do.

The only thing I want them to do right away is make it so power ups stay in your que until you remove them or use them. I don't want to select them before every match.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

Luckily i had 2 or 3 of Juggs headbutt covers so i was able to buy a spot and use him. He's only like level 17 but the headbutt move does like 2500 and doesnt take many reds. He has enough health to do it a bunch too. The new PvP event is hard. i got beat (fairly) like 5 times before i could hit the 300 mark for the heroic token prize.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

Those pvp events where all heroes are buffed is hard because one or two unlucky cascades and you're done. And yes, Jugg, especially fully leveled is really fun here. 3600 damage baby!

New PvE event is up. Required heroes = Fury and Psylocke. Cover rewards = Patch and 3* Torch.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

Well crap. The three Patch covers would take me to 13 for him, but I have no Fury, so likely no chance of that happening. Is this the first time they've made a 4* a required character? Considering they've only given him out as an Alliance reward and to the top 1% of people in groups last PVE, seems kind of crappy to have him used this way.

This 1-2-3 matchup event is the biggest bag of bullshit ever. Anyone who likes it is clearly a masochist.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

How do you request help from your alliance? I've done okay with some random 1-star Storm covers I picked up but if I could get one or two more one star characters to use I can really kick some ass on this event.

Requesting help is only for Team-ups, not for covers.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

This help/patrol stuff seems confusing. So when someone asks for help you can send one of your guys and they're unavailable for X amount of time? Is that right? Someone on the forums came up with a list of how long your guys are on patrol if you send them... hopefully its accurate.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

the best part of this, is the "hidden" thing that can earn dp3 more money. you can "recall" your guys for golden coins. so they give us this cool new feature, but then monetize it.

Well I don't know about you guys, but it doesn't seem like this last update fixed the balance issues. In fact, I'm getting pummeled more easily than ever. This fucking game.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

Fought my way up to #6 in the current PVP this morning, then shielded. I had played around with a handful of teams and by far had the most luck with 1* Storm, 2* Daken and 3* Cap, with the latter two being maxed and Storm at level 25 pre-boost. Once I'd match a handful of greens, it was pretty much over. Most games, I could alternate back and forth between Storm's green and yellow at least a couple times on several moves, which would also generate enough red & blue to get Cap going. Just thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone was still experimenting with teams at the end of the event.

The team-ups doesn't seem 100% fixed, as I had a computer team use 3 on me during a game. Only happened one time, though, so at least it's less than it was. I also had a weird thing happen twice, where I brought up a character's menu to use a special power and when I clicked on the power in question, it moved & matched a tile on the board and ended my turn. I've never seen that happen before, so I don't know if it was a glitch, or just bad luck I hadn't encountered until now.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

i liked the 1-2-3 PvP. I didnt do great in it, but should get my final green 3* torch cover. I liked it for being something different.
So lame that Fury is a required character for the current PvE. i guess i wont be getting that red 3* torch cover reward
