Thanks for the tip. It was a joke, i never try those because my 4* roster are very weak. Pulled a Jean Grey, I'll take it for free. I pulled a Ghost Rider on a heroic this morning and got a Spider Gwen on the PVE, Good week for me.

i only have one cover for him and it's that one. my 2450 hp Prof X is going to beat her. it has only taken me 10 minutes though.

Is it with buying packs with HP? I play daily but rarely spend money. I have 5k HP. Seems like a waste when you are a 3 star player transitioning to 4 star, but I would appreciate feedback.

It's a gamble, and one that rarely pays off from what I've heard from those that have done it. I'd save it for roster slots and shields. I burned all my HP before the purchasing of covers switched over to CP. Now I'm wishing I saved a little for roster slots.

Pretty much what my assessment was. I have most 3 star characters with 13 covers, just not enough ISO to max them out.

I think the packs might be worth it if it's one of the special events with 80 items or crazy good odds. With regular tokens, definitely not worth it.

This last off season 80 item vault would have been worth buying a 40 pack at less than 10K HP, but otherwise they aren't worth it for transitioners. You are better off saving your HP for roster slots and shields to get you higher progression rewards in PvP.

I wasnt able to beat Electra with Prof X even with invisibility. Her health wouldnt change and eventually she got a 'no match' board that lined up my invisibility tile. I also had the game glitch yesterday and got hit by repeated Ironman 40's blue missile barrage attack until my team died. It was my first game in the new season of the shield simulator so i had nothing to lose but now im scared to go back, lol.

that no damage is her black skill. just keep making matches and you will eventually start to do damage again. as for his skill, i purposely gave myself 2 purple/blue boosts and another 2 of all boosts. that gave me 4 of the 5 i needed of his purple for the skill. just keep matching purples so you can have a bank if she eventually matches your invisibility one. it did take me 10 minutes to do it as i stated above. pita, but definitely can be done.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

Has anybody else noticed that you can tell if your team is going to get wiped out on a turn by whether you can pause the game? I had a couple times where I tried to pause to retreat and it wouldn't let me, so for a while, I started hitting pause whenever a substantial attack is fired off. As far as I can tell, it seems like it will always let you pause if your team's going to survive, but won't if they're all going to die. If I'm right, it kind of kills the illusion of the game being random. I've had several times where it would seem like there's no way my team could get taken out, yet sure enough, multiple cascades lined things up just right for them to keep firing powers and kill everyone.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

Thanks to not being able to use my 2* Thor, I'm not going to be able to complete the daily Deadpool for the first time ever. I currently have a base 2* Cap and Hawkeye and there's just no way they can do it. I tried a couple rounds using low cost team ups to help, but pretty much got slaughtered every time. I guess that's the downside to only keeping one permanent 2*.

those are the only 2* you keep? wow. i use thor/ares/bw and i almost never deviate from that, unless it forces me to, like today.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

I use storm/obw/ares. I have those 3 championed as well as Thor. OBW and Thor are nice because they will give me useful 3* cards for my championed GSBW and lazyThor.
I'm liking the new IM40 yellow skill. He was just sitting on my roster unused, now I use him for fun and will boost up his levels when ISO permits, but will take a while.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

Yeah, Thor is the only 2* I keep and he's been good enough up until today. I just happen to have the other two at the moment because I keep a free rotating slot for whatever 2* is required by the current PVE and had another free spot that hasn't been needed since adding Hawkeye. I'm thinking about making Hawkeye permanent, since he's required for Ultron events and has no higher level version. I'm currently only missing Nova and SpiderGwen as far as 5*, 4* and 3* characters and I have enough HP to buy slots for both if I get them, so I could probably stand to add another permanent 2*.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

I only have ares/storm/obw as my 2*s; all championed. I had to ditch thor to make room for some 4* i got.
I was thinking i was going to have to drop a 3* to make room for kingpin since i didnt have any HP but i got lucky and won a couple 250 HP cards from deadpool daily tacos. Are there any 3*s so crappy they're worth dropping even though it would mean skipping a deadpool daily every month?

Doc Oc is pretty bad. They have been doing some buffs to 3* recently, so I might hold off on selling anyone unless you absolutely have to have the space. The changes to IM40 made him the best 3* IMO.

Got another OML from legendary token.
It was black, not a yellow one.

How did they improve him? I read the changes, but it didn't seem much different. I must have missed something. What makes him good now? What's his best layout?

I've got 4 OML covers, all yellow so he is still useless.

His yellow cost 6 AP for that, you get 3 countdown tiles that return 4 red, 4 blue, 3 green and 1 purple. So, for 6 yellow AP, you can potentially get 36 AP. That is freaking crazy town. His red is now the 2nd highest single target damage/AP skill in 3* land (If I remember correctly). His blue has decent damage and board shake at 5 covers. His Yellow is where it is at though. He is boosted all the time in LR, so it's defiantly worth maxing him. Stand alone, I think 3 blue is the way to go, but 3 red isn't bad either.

That's a PvE tank right there. Bring any damage dealing toon with strong red/black/yellow skills and OML will soak up all the damage and shrug it all off while you collect AP.
