It's supposed to according to what has been posted at this point. We'll see on Friday. I might actually work from home on Friday, so if I do I'll give it a shot since I do have the GOTY sitting upstairs.

The official announcement said it would. Plus, they got multidisc games to work for BC anyway (i wonder if that was one of the hold ups on the official BC release for RDR?)

I went ahead and bought it digitally since I have credit to burn.

Today we're happy to announce that Red Dead Redemption will be released as part of Microsoft’s Xbox One Backward Compatibility program this coming Friday, July 8th.
Starting on Friday, every Red Dead Redemption Xbox 360 owner will be able to play the game directly on their Xbox One, regardless of which version of the game they own (Red Dead Redemption, Undead Nightmare and Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition). And for those who have yet to experience it, the game will be available to purchase on Friday from the Games Store on Xbox One.

EA has announced the next three games that it will be adding to its EA Access vault. Subscribers on Xbox One will get two more titles on July 12. Another will be added on August 30.
Next week, Coldwood’s Unravel and Ghost Games’ Need for Speed will be free with an EA Access membership. On August 30, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 joins the party.

Glad I didn't buy Unravel yet from the current sale, might as well just pay for a month of EA Access to play it.

And I still don't have my account activated. Those assholes.
And I am NEVER buying another EA game. Shit, I should know better but I bought PvZ2 anyways since my son likes it.

So I assume if you have RDR on disc and DLC digitally can still play the DLC on the Xbox One? I know they used to not have DLC available through BC on the Xbox One, but since they changed that for Alan Wake, I assume they've fixed that problem now? I can't find confirmation of that online though I know the GOTY that already includes the DLC is BC.
