Choice is great, but do they really expect retail stores to stock twelve different bundles for the Holidays? Do they need to make both a black and a white Gears of War bundle as well as a bundle with Gears/Rare/Ori? Wouldn't one bundle serve that purpose well enough?

Stores won't be stocking all 12 or even close to that. Many of those are retailer exclusives.

I just think that twelve holiday bundles is too many. And $150 is insane for an admittedly cool upgraded controller. That's all.

I booted up the old PS3 last night to run through Uncharted 2 at my kid's request, and that controller felt like a toy in my hands. I don't think I've played any PS3 since the third Arkham game.

I'm getting just the controller. I had a shitty Best Buy experience back in August and they sent me a $50 gift card... which I used to pre-order the Elite controller for in-store pickup at the location over on Rainbow & Badura.

I want to get a second Xbox One for the house, but I'm waiting to get another TV first.

I still don't think the controller price is that crazy or out of whack, as I mentioned before people have paid that sort of price for other niche accessories like driving wheels and fight sticks. Or on the PC side, pay that kind of price on a new gaming keyboard.

Let's hope the real list is better than that

On a side note, I just started playing NFS Most Wanted over the weekend on 360. That game is fantastic and really needs to be BC this year, and Criterion needs to make another racing game ASAP.

Yeah, that's a pretty rough list if it is indeed true. The Xbox One titles are particularly bad, and I'm only sorta interested in Knight Squad (and only for the references to Bomberman). On the 360 side, I'll download DS III, but it will stay in the backlog for a while. The only real plus is that DS III and Dirt 3 will be Backwards Compatible. (Since they told us that all future 360 GWG starting in November would be BC).

I really liked DS III as kind of a Diablo 3-lite sort of game. It was pretty fun actually.

In my opinion Microsoft has been giving out pretty good games lately with at least one decent retail release, so it would suck for them to not continue to do so heading in to the holidays.

They've also been pushing 360 owners to claim the One titles hoping that they'll eventually upgrade. I would think they'd want a good title this month that could help push someone over the edge.

Pneuma: Breath of Life is a really cool puzzle game. I highly recommend it. It's got a sort of Stanley Parable vibe.
