Time to unplug the PS3, sell it and the vita, and the 3ds, and get a Wii U.

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

Seems like yet another great update for the Xbox. Disabling notifications during videos is fantastic news, this has pissed me off for a while now. 3D bluray is cool I guess, but I still use my PS3 for BR and gave up on 3d years ago. Really don't care for the online purchasing stuff personally, but the redesigned Friends and activity feeds intrigues me.

That's great, I didn't know that Microsoft's number one priority was how to please you.

As the owner of a 3D television, I'm pleased Microsoft has added this functionality and it should've been there at launch for both the PS4 and Xbox One.

I don't get the 3D haters. It works great on my Samsung and is a nice novelty to watch a 3D film every couple weeks or so. We air pop some popcorn, turn out the lights, and make it a movie theater experience night!

Not sure what there is to get, a lot of people just don't care for the effect.

I hate 3D, but some people like it and it doesn't really affect me (unless there's crap like special features only with a 3D Blu-ray release), so for the most part if it makes other people happy, good for them

I think he's more voicing the opinion that yeah, 3D isn't for everyone but the haters really step into asshole vegan territory with their public hatred of it. We get it, you don't like to watch 3D for a variety of reasons. But others do.

Note: Not all vegans are assholes, but there are asshole vegans.

In that case, I think it's just backlash given 3D was quickly shoved down our throats

How is it shoved down your throats? You always have a choice to watch 3d or not.

Having a choice doesn't mean it wasn't heavily pushed to consumers, the two aren't necessarily related.

3D Bluray is knda like Kinect games. In a few cases it's really cool but for the most part you don't need it to enjoy the content.

You know, I am right here man. I can see you.

Actually I am safe now. Downgraded to just vegetarian.

And I don't care about 3D. But I don't have any hatred that it is being added.

If I owned a projector that displayed a picture that took up the height of a wall, I'd probably be into 3D at home. Otherwise, even fairly big screen HDTVs that have 3D capability don't seem worth it. I need my field of vision, including peripheral, for it to work for me.

Just because it was pushed didn't mean you had to buy it. You still had the choice.

I never said I had to buy it or didn't have a choice.

I think you're making more of the shoved down throats comment then I intended, which hardly meant a forced purchase. Hence the comment that the two aren't necessarily related.

Ah ok, so it's like the forced Gluten Free bullshit we're seeing everywhere, when in reality it's less than 1% of people who have it(real life Celiac), it's still marketed at everyone.

For 3D gaming I might be interested but 3D movies not interested.
