Or maybe it's just a disposable level 4 Warframe gun and not even the prime version at that.

PS...need one small favor if you can. If you happen to be on during the day like this morning, can you send kanjji a note on getting the blueprint and build started for the Patient Zero Quest. It takes six hours to do and if she can get it going, just maybe we can run that tonight. Good chance Zane will be over tomorrow night so I've got to try and squeeze a lot in tonight.
I'm at work, but might be off a bit early. If she's on...

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

Never mind...I was able to send her a message to at least try and get the Blueprint going for the Patient Zero. I believe she is underestimating playing as she has made comments about 'having to re-learn everything"...I told her it'll come back no problem....

But...I did get to....

Doing that first Archwing mission when you get to try them out...wow...do I like that...except of course being killed twice in the first 1-2 minutes...but still that was a trip.

Got my Excalibur going so sometime late Monday I can start....

Right before signing off there was an alert for of all things.,,,Arcane Avalon Helmet for Excalibur which I grabbed. And come to find out I had the blueprint for the Arcane Pendragon helmet so both are cooking.

Orokin Reactor alert for 24 hours.

If any lurker were thinking about trying Warframe, tonight would be a great time to start.

Because Orokin Reactors (also known as a "potato") allow your frames to become more powerful by doubling mod capacity, which are the bread and butter of Warframe. They are primarily obtainable via timed alerts (random missions).

Right. So you could potentially start with a "Potato'd" frame without having to pay for the potato if you started tonight.

Which is why when my Excalibur is ready late Monday it'll be 'Potato'd" with this free one off the bat....

Excalibur is quickly becoming one of my favorite frames, but like Loki, he doesn't really shine until you have some mods.

I guess I still think Mag and Volt are better starters, but I think Excalibur is better in the long run, and I think I'm at the point where recommending him as a starter and giving him a potato makes a lot of sense. Especially since we'll never see an Excalibur Prime but Mag has one and Volt can't be far off.

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

Tried that famous Mastery 8 Test yesterday and failed. I tried the "cheese" with Loki's Teleport from a YouTube video that had him on top of the wall along the edge but the teleport just didn't work. Will try Zeph today....

I played with Mag Prime a few days ago on some Corpus Defense and she just wrecked them. Need to play Volt but would like to play them all. My Excalibur should be ready sometime late tomorrow. I should be on later today and if you plan on another "Farm Run" I'd appreciate me getting in. Zane might actually want to play a bit since I've got that "50's Sci-Fi Ray Gun" built and he'll probably like it.

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

I'll have to see when my Excalibur will be ready tonight but would like to get in one of the Farm Runs. I also found 2-3 weapons I might Forma so those can tag along to.

Got in a couple of random Archwing missions...really liking them except finding and getting mods is a slight pain. You blink and go right by them. Zane did like them but liked the "50's Sci-Fi Ray Gun" better. He was telling me to "Cook & Slice" everyone.

I heard you doing a Tower run last night on the tail end...are you (group) needing certain keys for something. I don't have much in T-IV but seem to have a lot in everything else like T1&2 Defense. I can check what I have if it'll help.

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

Yeah, mastery 8 was kind of tough IIRC. I think they adjusted it so Loki and Nova don't work like they did.

But Zephyr still works, I think. Here's a really poor quality video. Just don't give her a ton of duration, because she'll fly off the map. And if the video shows one thing, it's that you can REALLY take your time, because nothing disappears.

On the tower runs, we basically run T4 Sabotages if we get them on wave 4 of a rep farm. We would have run them again, if that's what we'd gotten on your rep run, but I think we got a Natural Talent.

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

I finally passed that Test 8....used Loki. On the two walls where you travel and jump to the other side and then on the platform...Loki jumped far enough off the first wall to the platform. Not to bad...

I'm sure I told you but Excalibur is ready so I can possibly take it in a Rep Farm Run if possible.

I've just gone back and chipped away at getting all the planets completed and I'm at (9)

Don't when or if but I wouldn't mind doing a Orokin Run some night as well. I've got (25) but have plenty to build that requires quite a few.

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

Thanks for the Rep Farm run last night and mmcarren did his best solo but I wasn't getting much boost on leveling Excalibur. Cannot believe all we got was natural Talent...which I've seen as much of as Vacuum running TIII Exterminate last night.

After the Potato I believe he is at Level 22 so I can get him maxed and then slap one more Forma on him. I'll check some more if other weapons need a Forma or not...great idea on boosting them again instead of the long way. I'm about 30K away from hitting Level 4 with Suda.

I was going to ask would using a Prime Mag with maxed Bullet Attractor help with the Rep Farm? I was reading the Wiki on Excalibur's Javelin and it mention using it with Mag's Bullet Attractor would be a lethal combo. The maximized range is 31 meters and no negative effect. Just asking...

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

Natural Talent is now pretty common...used to be quite rare. Pretty much every run I do on Stephano Uranus nets at least one, often more than one, and it's a very useful mod on Excalibur, Trinity, Nekros and maybe a couple of others.

At level 22, you should be looking at 51 points to apply mods on your Excalibur. Start with Intensify and Blind Rage (or preferably Transient Fortitude when you get it). Then give him some range with Stretch and Overextended. Then give him efficiency with Streamline and a max (since you're using Blind Rage) Fleeting Expertise. Overextended will go in his "D" slot and either Intensify or Blind Rage in his "V" slot. After that, if you can get Natural Talent on, you're fully in business to farm rep (or to play anywhere, if you're careful). I used a very similar build in a T4 Defense last night and ended up with almost 70% of the team's total damage.

Bullet Attractor wouldn't be useful in a rep farm, as it targets a single enemy. It might be useful against a few bosses, but I couldn't say which ones.

Glad to see you get a Nova Prime part...or two? And nice work on Mastery Rank 8. The next few should be a bit easier.

Yea...not a bad night and seemed like quite a few from the clan were online doing all sorts of stuff. I think that was the first time I've ran a Tower without you or Sith in the mix in a long, long time.

Should've realized and known about Mag's Bullet Attractor. Shame it's for a single target but would be interesting to try against some high ranked bosses. I normally use Pull and Crush only. yeap...my first Nova Prime part...two more to go. I might have to try out my Excalibur on some Defense Missions to get a feel of what he can do.

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

Good runs last night and I'll have to read more into the new "update" which really brings a lot. if anything I need to get to Mastery 10. I did the Test 10 last night just to see what it was...it's the Stealth test and I had Rhino. I actually got to the 3rd area. I'll bring Loki in tonight and hopefully get it done. Test 10 didn't look bad with a large square are with Grineer on the outsides with nine square platforms in the middle. Someone used Loki's stealth and just shot them with a Soma from the same place.

Sorry about the Rep Farm but I was hitting every chance I had when my energy hit "75". The pool was maxed at 140 so several times I had to wait. I was seeing my energy in the 10-30 range. After hitting 30, I put a Flow in and that will help the next time.

Boy do I like that Archwing and got several new mods last night. Hopefully some of the clan will be on so we can farm that material. Speaking of Archwing, are any of those parts in the Dojo good to get? I saw a few things and came close to getting the Blueprints but held off.

Don't even know I'll do any more with Destiny. Ran two Nightfalls and got an Exotic helmet I already have and a Legendary Machine Gun (Void) I might keep or trash. Not getting into Crota Runs much and it's like why bother anyway. Bungie has a window of April to July for the next DLC and we all might be screwed again with everything we've collected and leveled up. Shoot...the new Warframe DLC is enough to keep me busy, still have to get Mesa, do Rep Farming, play with Archwing, build new stuff and get my Mastery Rank

...FWIW....didn't see kanjji at all last night. You, me and Sith may need to work on getting her back. I think with the group which I'm still getting use to, is pretty good and she would be a good fit.

Planetary relays are awesome. Full stop. Imagine The Tower from Destiny. OK, now imagine you watched a sweet landing sequence in the hanger when you loaded in and you had a dedicated social text chat for people in the tower. Now imagine the factions in the tower had badass rooms where they hung out and that they had stuff that was actually worth looking at and that you could get without playing PVP.

Here's a preview from PC a couple of months ago. There's more active stuff now, and I wish it showed the screen where you land and depart your ship, because that's awesome too.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UO-xA7wAfUw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's all sooo good lately. Archwings. Relays. Kubrows. Syndicates. Primes. All of it.

FWIW...I was reading the Wiki on that new Panthera Mitre Rifle....it has some good stuff...and some negative like No Critical Damage. The secondary Levitating Spinning Blade seems a bit interesting.

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

Lots of guns don't have significant critical damage. In fact, very few guns are viable critical builds...Soma, Synapse, Paris, Dread, and maybe a few others.

The bigger issue for me will be how similarly the Panthera handles to the Miter, which wasn't my cup of tea. It did great damage when charged, but the time it took to kill from sight to charge to travel time combined with the precision required by all of the above made it a poor substitute for a bow (which handle similarly) or better yet, a proper rifle. I'm also not sold on the secondary fire, which doesn't have much range. Seems like it would be better in a lot of cases to simply melee (no ammo, no reload, probably faster).

We'll see. Building a Miter and Hikou now, which you need to build the Panthera.

P.S.: Don't tell the Destiny crew that we now have two guns that shoot saw blades. They might get Panthera envy.

Not just shoot saw blades...but blades on fire, that shock, deals cold damage, has toxin, does radiation, or blast damage, levitates, bounces off walls, goes thru enemies, takes off heads and body parts....how many Destiny weapons can do all that?

Think I am going to build it...hate to see the Miter go but this is like moving from a VW Bug to a Large Pickup

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

We ran the Rep Farming along with some Archwing Earth Mission in hopes of getting some more Tellurium. I ran two with random groups and all I could manage was (2) for the night. I'll pop in the Dojo later this evening and put those in.

You wouldn't happen to have a "Prime Blade' laying around you don't want or need? I reached the Level 4 with Suda and I need one along with 250K of credits to advance. I'll put out on the clan page if anyone has one they would like to trade. It drops on T-III Sabotage and T-IV Interception (Rotation A)

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

You'll need a Frost Prime helmet for the next level as well, just in case you don't have one, and it will need to be built.

Pretty sure I have both. Only thing I ask is for prime parts in return with equal value in Duckets (the new prime currency). I'll have to look and see what they're both worth.

Take a look at Arbiters of Hexis as well, because you'll need similar prime stuff for them...Bo Prime Handle and Loki Prime Helmet.

Re: Warframe (PC, PS4, XB1) - Ninjas Play Free

Just finished Mastery Test 9...with Loki it's a cakewalk. Tomorrow on to Test 10.

I looked and saw I have several other "Prime Parts" from the Latron, Paris, Burston and Sicarus. I can also build a Frost Prime Helmet and I believe I do have Loki Prime Helmet as well.

So what do we need next for the Dojo? I didn't even get to drop off my Tellerium.
