Went home for lunch and had time to browse around and got lucky three were starting boss battle with The Raptor. Got the chassis and now just lack the Nova helmet. My knives will be ready tonight....and I saw Chess on. Hopefully you can make a few rounds or do the T1.

Well I got lucky..did three runs (one with Chess) on The raptor and got all three parts for the Nova. She'll be ready Sunday morning. Now to get the missing one for Frost Prime and I'll be happy for awhile. I went ahead and got the Orthos cooking. I leveled up the Galatine so I needed a new sword. Played with the throwing knives a bit...they're pretty fun.

Doubt I'll be on tonight. Our thoughtful salespeople decided to bend over and over commit so a customer can have their "Christmas Party" in their new location Monday when the job wasn't scheduled to be done till after the first of the year....sorry for the rave but they do this every year.

Didn't we have a whole discussion about lending me Hammer Shot a couple of days ago?

I have so many Accelerated Blast mods I don't even know what to do with them all. Same for every other nightmare mod other than Hammer Shot and Blaze. The only good things to come out of my nightmare farming were a sale of Vigor and Wildfire for 20 platinum, and Vigor, Shred and Lethal Torrent are legitimately great mods.

Events for me yesterday:

• Made 20 plat off of sale above
• hooked up with a couple of guys from GAF and did a bunch of Derelict Assassination runs
• Got all of the parts for Nekros on those runs but don't plan to build him just yet, as a few other frames look more interesting
• Got a rare (not labeled rare, but it is) mod drop in the Derilect called Equilibrium that gives health when you pick up energy and vice versa.
• Was up late enough to do the alert mission for the Rejuvination Aura Mod (team health over time)
• Played nightmare mode a lot to no avail
• My friend's port forwarding seems to have worked

I have to say, those Derelict missions are really really cool looking and atmospheric, and the assassination has a pretty cool boss fight. It's neat to see one of those pristine void ships all messed up. I wish they were in the game proper so more people could see them.

I leveled Mag Prime up to 10 in about an hour last night on Xini. Even at low level, she's a beast on that map because she can pull infested off of the platform to their instant death. It's kind of hilarious.

Oh, yeah I guess it was, lol. Let me see if I actually have Hammer Shot.

edit: Yeah, I do have Hammer Shot. Would Vigor + Lethal Torrent be a even trade for Hammer Shot? If so I'd do that.

One reason why I wished I was playing on the PC. The other is that we don't need to wait forever for hotfixes and updates.

They announced yesterday there will not be any updates to the PS4 version until early 2014.

That is a bummer but not surprising. We can only dream of seeing a price like that on the PS4. In the middle of deciding between the PS4 & XO I actually thought of and looked into a gaming pc.

A pretty cool video on that ship. A couple of spots where if you make one wrong turn you could be cooked. Is that video from the pc version? Seems like a awful amount of critical hits.

Ok guys...need a little input or guidance if you can...

I've not used Forma or my Orokin Reactor. Mainly because I still don't see the big deal on with Forma setting your weapon back to zero just to change a polarity slot and not get no level boost out of the deal

Now with the Reactor I can see but I've got just two Warframes...Mag and Rino and both are 30 now. Have Nova in the cooker and with fingers crossed hopefully me and Flash can get the Frost Prime completed. Should I even think about adding the Reactor to Mag? I just feel I'm sort of stuck in low to mid levels and feel like I'm going in circles doing a lot of the same locations. And when I try upper levels and missions I'm hardly making a dent. I don't know if I should take a Warframe and weapon and try to maximize it so I can use it for higher level missions. Just seems I'm treading along in the same areas and not really advancing.

Can't thank you enough for the Hammer Shot trade!!! Seriously cool gesture. I wouldn't say that was an even trade, but adding Rejuvination gets it a little bit closer, and I'll still give you Hammer Shot if I can ever get it to drop for me. I maxed it out along with all of my other "bread and butter" mods, so it's hard to tell how much it's that mod and how much it's maxing out the others, but my Soma is now a face eating death machine. It's kind of ridiculous.

I didn't realize until last night how quickly fusion cores (especially rares and uncommons) would upgrade a particular mod. I had almost 1000 of them saved up though, so I just went nuts upgrading everything. K&A was on with me when I upgraded the shield mod (redirection?) from 5 to 10, and it cost about 500K in credits and something like 180 fusion cores. My shield is now just over 1100, and that's at level 23. I suspect it will get well over 1200 by the time I hit 30.

I spent a good chunk of the night continuing to farm nightmare levels and was joined by K&A, who got some good mods out of the arrangement and hopefully had some fun wrecking Corpus.

The answer to your question is that you'll find a character that really speaks to you, and you'll absolutely want to maximize the number of skill points available to you for that character. Reactors double the max points available from 30 to 60 and aura mods add their face value times 2 if they are the same polarity. Forma lets you pick a polarity for a slot on frames or weapons causing the mod in that slot to use half the points it normally would. I wouldn't use any Reactors, Catalysts or forma until you are absolutely sure that those frames or weapons are going to be fixtures for you.

If you feel like you're treading water, it's because you haven't done much of the above and will probably struggle with higher level enemies until you do.

Forma only seems pointless because you haven't leveled up your mods enough for their polarity to matter. Cutting a 6 point mod down to 3 doesn't seem like a big deal, but believe me, when you drop a 12 point card down to 6 via a forma change, you'll see the difference.

last night was fun though once again felt like I did contribute much and got turned sideways a few times. Still no luck on those special Nightmare Mods. Thanks for opening up that level...by the way what was that again so when I get Nova going i know where to go.

Speaking of Aura Mods...are they found in certain areas and missions?

I'm up for some more Nightmare stuff. I've found using those mods really help me out. I'd like to have a few more so I can boost the current ones up.

Well I did it, I bought the 1000 platinum bundle! Decided why not, since I play the game enough and that current deal with PS Store where if you deposit $50 from Paypal you get an additional $10.

Tonight I'll finally be on to actually play. Hopefully we can get some serious shit done! Haha.

Went home for lunch and decided to go ahead and bit the bullet....

I decided to grab one Forma and a Reactor off the market (20 a pop) and applied the Forma to the Boltor adding a "Tactic ~ Slot". Since it had a "Defense" slot this will help. I just looked at all the rifle mods and it seemed most of the elemental and damage types were actual Tactic...fire, puncture, slash, impact, and toxin. I like the Boltor....a good size clip, range and fire rate and it has a extreme high puncture damage compared to the other rifles.

I put the reactor on Mag...I liked playing her and all four of her abilities can come in handy though I haven't got Bullet Attractor quite down. Crush is her bread & butter damage and using Pull in the right spot can really help. Shield Polarize can do some serious damage with bots. Using Shade with her you can literally be in the middle of a large group unseen and put the hammer down. I'll try to buff her up so to do higher levels and actually contribute instead of being "baby-sited". I'll do low levels with Nova(day and a half to go).

the Blaze mod has turned my HEK into a beast...nothing like pulling off a one shot kill on a level 30+ Ancient Disrupter during a nightmare mission...

I stuck around to watch the message boards for any T3 ext and got into one. Did a few T2 ext and T1 def just for goodies. I'll probably hit them again. I'm in no real rush on the Frost Prime since Nova will be ready in about 24hrs and plus with supercharging Mag I can at least do some higher levels. If you're planning to be a certain time today let me know and we can possible do some farming if you want.

I'm about weapon-ed out for awhile but would like to get one pistol. My throwing knives are almost maxed and wouldn't mind going to a single high damage one....

I think I need only one part for the Seer though I need to confirm that...Capt Vor runs

Look a the Lex or Bronco....leaning Bronco simply because I think I've got better overall mods for the shotgun than pistols but the Lex does have a polarity slot and has high damage at long range.

Good times last night! I really wish K&A would have gone after Mag Prime rather than putting a potato on Mag, but I put one on Volt, so I can hardly judge.

I got into one T3 Defense from the chat before I went to bed and happened to end up randomly playing with Helscream (Flash knows him). I was kind of hoping for a Glave Prime part but was still pretty happy to get a Forma. It seems like all of the T3s give up Forma BPs pretty regularly.

I sold another aura mod and bought a color palette (classic saturated) and it's cool, but I was kind of bummed that there was no black. For me, that was a pretty big WTF. Still, it's nice to have some options. Not sure it was worth 75 plat in hindsight. But I still have 40 left, and I'm leaning toward a few more weapons slots.

Flash, I got your invite this morning but I wasn't really on. I got my son a Vita for Xmas, and I was setting it up. I'm not sure what it shows on PS4 when I'm on Vita, but I need to figure out how to make it not show me as being online.
