This has probably been answered elsewhere, but does the PS4 now offer lossless audio while viewing 3D Blu-rays? I have a 3D Blu-ray player but it plays some discs out of sync.

I don't understand why I'm kicked out of a game and brought back to the main PS4 interface whenever the PSN servers are having trouble, especially if I'm not even online. It only takes a second to get back into the game, but that still seems like a really bizarre design choice.

So, being able to play pretty much immediately during the install is moot if there is a day 1 update. I assume this would apply to both systems. Seems like every game has a day 1 update these days.

All kidding aside i hope it won't be long before they patch the support. I was going to put the PS4 where my 3-D Blu-Ray player sits on my TV stand.

On the PS3, PS+ subscribers could play one hour of select titles for free. I seem to recall that Sony was going to expand that to even more games for the PS4, but I could be misremembering.

Update 2: The message on EA's Help site about the PlayStation 4's day-one software update causing instability in PS4 games was "posted in error," said an EA representative in an email to Polygon. The spokesperson pointed PS4 users to Sony's support website for information on the PS4.

I wonder if EA had a canned response ready in case the firmware update was going to cause issues, and someone accidentally got the OK to post it.

OK, despite UPS's best efforts, or hell, it could have been Amazon that drop kicked my PS4, the actual system is so far working properly. I've got it hooked up to my ecosystem, Everything turned on as it should, no HDMI worries as of yet.

And after booting into safe mode, it recognized my thumb drive and the 1.50 update file I downloaded to yet in preparation of this moment. My DS4 is currently glowing Orange as if its a caution flag, letting me know that my system is doing something important. Nice touch.

And those worried about the wobbling of the system, don't. The PS4 is heavier than you think it is (~10 pounds), and is very sturdy despite the odd configuration of the pads.

And the wait to Log In begins. Nothin' like owning a new console day one! It's like being at Disneyland in line for Space Mountain....sort of.

EDIT: OK, now it's just like being in line for Space Mountain when it breaks down. Error code NP-35000-8 SEN is currently undergoing maintenance. Lovely!
