I went through that on my fat PS3 too. PS+ / cloud saves were a thing by that point, but I didn't subscribe, so I lost everything.

Cloud saves are a life saver. I went from PS4 OG -> PS4 w/ 1.5tb hdd -> PS4 Pro -> PS4 Pro w/ Hybrid Drive and never even had to think about backing anything up.

Yeah, most of my game saves are backed up. Not all of them, though. Looking through the cloud, most of the important ones are.
Remember that until fairly recently we only had 1 GB of Cloud save data. Lots of stuff wasn't getting backed up. I think I went back after they finally increased the storage, but I'm not sure.
Mostly it's a hassle rather than a tragedy. But my son's info and saves were not backed up because he doesn't have his own PS Plus account. I'm not even sure I'll be able to recover his gamertag.
I'm just really upset that they never told me this was a possiblity. Yes, Jay could find it in an online search, but it is NOT mentioned in the instructions for Warranty Repair :

Another Uncharted game... looks good.
I gotta get around to playing the first 4.
Wow, some people in the crowd are just ridiculous...

Uncharted with Chloe? Marvel vs Capcom Infinite? Wipeout Remastered Collection? AWESOME!
Remastered Crash Bandicoot, Parappa the Rapper, Patapon? Not so awesome.

I'm fine with there being VR but I feel like they are trying to shove it up our ass and it doesn't fit.

And speaking of games nobody wants, how about that response for Knack 2?

The improved local co-op could be neat.
I'm that one weird guy who actually liked the first Knack, though. I wasn't expecting to, it's not the game I assumed it'd be, and I still think Knack's hyper-deep voice even when he's teeny-tiny is a bizarre choice, but it was a pretty fun beat-'em-up. I found myself surprisingly invested in the storyline as well, which I never would've guessed from the eye-roll-inducing trailers.
I'm in, although I'll probably wait for a price drop (or time it for a gift or something).
BTW, Ni No Kuni 2 -- so they're ditching the whole creature buddy angle?

I liked Knack also. It did some stuff well but they really needed to balance the difficulty better. I'm down to play a second one.

It sucks that Marvel vs Capcom Infinite might not have the X-Men on it.

Is the Chole Uncharted stuff DLC for Uncharted 4 or standalone? I saw some assumptions that its basically the single player DLC that was planned as part of Uncharted 4 but I'm not sure if it was confirmed. I'm SO down for that.
Skeptical about Marvel vs Capcom, especially minus some of my favorite characters.
And I'm one of the few that wasn't very impressed with The Last of Us, which I thought had fairly boring gameplay, but i'll still play the second one for the story, which was excellent.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong
Got a question regarding old games on the hard drive...basically what to keep and/or get rid of....
I've got a 1TB Hybrid Drive and have roughly 120gb free. I've gone back and there's a few games I've finished and done with but never really cleaned out due to that fear some added or Part 2 game would pop up and needs the user information.....like one of the first games I had was Infamous Son 2, great fun game but it's around 35gb and haven't touched it for two years.
Deleting the game is ok while the User Data is retained and can be saved to Cloud correct so if anything does come around and needs previous data I can DL that and use it...correct.
I might go ahead with the holiday's and explore a new 2TB but I'd like to see how much I can clean out and save first.
