re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

One suggestion that I saw was to turn off the setting to keep applications suspended. Since I only use rest when doing large downloads, I'll try that if I keep having problems.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Does anyone know if the Elder Scrolls Free MP weekend will happen at all since the technical issues prevented it from last weekend?

Plex is free now for XBox One and Playstation 4. Plex Pass is no longer required!

Is it still required for the PS3? A quick check of their website didn't say specifically.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

here's a weird question ... can you use Playstation TV to play "local" multiplayer games?

My partner and I want to play multiplayer Elder Scrolls Online ... but it seems like it would require 2 Playstations, 2 copies of the game, and 2 PS Plus subscriptions. Could one of us play via playstation TV and the other on the actual console?

No. The Vita (or PS TV) is just acting as a remote streaming receiver from your PS4. Any online game like that requires two PS4 processors and two copies of the game.

Well...I wonder how many new PS4 friends we'll get by noon today...and when the PSN will go down?

You've got almost four months - I think you'll make it!

I have a bunch of other existing games to play on XBox One and PC though, so replaying the Uncharted trilogy is lower on my list of games to play.

Not to OldBoy this, but I didn't realize there doesn't appear to be any good solution for using older Harmony remotes with the PS4. The PS3 at least had an adapter which is what I was using before. The only thing I can find is some folks using a FLIRC IR adapter and mapping keys. Anyone else know of a better solution?

You'll be surprised by how quickly the first Uncharted game goes. I even tried to look around for as many out-of-the-way treasures that I could find, and I still finished it on Normal difficulty in a day of very leisurely play. I'm not even the beat-it-in-a-day type!

Can't speak to the sequels yet. I wanted to do one Uncharted game a month leading up to 4, but the delay mucked that up.

You can do it.

But if you don't have time, just play Uncharted 2.

I think most agree that Uncharted 2 is the best game of the series.

Also, you may be really tired of the series if you play the 3 back to back.

Anyways, I can't wait for Uncharted 4.

We'll see, I forgot how long each of the games were. It will be interesting how the games play after playing Rise of the Tomb Raider too, especially the combat which I remember hating in the first game and part 3 which was a chore to get through when I played it. I'm definitely looking forward to 2 again which was one of my favorite games of the entire generation though.

I think 3 works better a few years out. I was a little disappointed by it when it came out, mostly because it wasn't as good as 2. Now in the absence of expectations, it's actually a pretty fun game. Looks great on the PS4 as well.

Uncharted 2 is a more cinematic experience
Uncharted 3 is a more fun as a game

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Newbie question:
If I start a new Playstation Plus subscription today, when will it expire?

I assume on 12/28/16, but I want to make sure that it won't expire on 11/30/16 .

Thanks in advance of the clarification!

So the PS4 wouldn't read Jurassic World BD tonight. Had to pop it in the Xbox. Anyone else have that issue before?

If you started on the Dec 28th 2015 then it would end on the Dec 28th 2016. You can track it online or in the console which will show your days remaining.

I played JW on my PS4 when it first came out. No issues. But perhaps there was a firmware update since that messed it up?

Fake Kaz Hirai on twitter:
You asked for Triple-A PS4 titles on PS+ and we’ve delivered. Hardware Rivals and Grim Fandango Remastered both have three As in their title
