No PSX for me this year, thanks to the move away from Sin City. But I highly recommend that any PS4 fans in the Bay Area check this event out. I had a blast all weekend.
PlayStation Experience 2015 Comes to San Francisco

Deep breath: PlayStation Experience is officially a go for 2015! The epic two-day PlayStation community event is back, relocating to sunny/foggy/windy San Francisco this December 5th and 6th.
What can you expect this year? For starters, a ton of hands-on time with 2015 and 2016’s biggest games, plus a front-row seat for major PlayStation announcements. Plus some of those patented PlayStation surprises you’ve come to expect.
<iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ENd5WaAQ_fI?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
We’ve also heard your feedback regarding ticket prices, and I’m happy to announce that we’ve been able to make PlayStation Experience a little more affordable for 2015. Early birds who register before September 20th will get a discounted rate of $60 for the full two-day pass, while supplies last. After September 20th, regular two-day tickets will go for $75, with one-day passes going for $45 (Saturday only) and $40 (Sunday only).
Tickets are on sale now. When ordering tickets, we strongly recommend registering with your PlayStation Network ID for… well, reasons that aren’t exactly clear to me at this point. But I’m told it’ll all make sense come December!
For those traveling from out of town, we’ve secured a select number of discounted hotel rates at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis for $249 per night, the Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Downtown for $209 per night, and the Hilton San Francisco for $179 per night.
Capcom Cup
Also, for all you Street Fighter fans out there, the Capcom Cup will be held at PlayStation Experience this year as a one-day special event open to all attendees on Sunday, December 6th! As the final culmination of the 2015 Capcom Pro Tour, the official Street Fighter eSports league, the Capcom Cup will feature 32 of the world’s best players competing for the title of “Street Fighter World Champion” and a shot at the massive $250,000 prize pool.
Additionally, the Capcom Cup VIP Package is available for those who purchase a two-day or Sunday-only pass and want the ultimate Capcom Cup experience! Package includes:
Premium front area seating at the event
Capcom goodie bag
Exclusive access to the Capcom Cup after party, hosted by Twitch and Showdown.gg
For more details on the Capcom Pro Tour and Capcom Cup, be sure to check out their official website.

Picked up MLB The Show 15 at Target for $19.99 on sale. Didn't see any of the shelf, was going to ask for a raincheck and the dude said one had come in on the truck this morning! Score!

Dying Light is $29.99 at best buy this week....and FWIW in case you are interested, check out the news on the upcoming DLC The Following which is free to Season Pass owners. The game has been one of the best co-op experiences I've had and one of the best looking on the PS4.

Darth Vader PS4. I think the controller looks hideous, but i'm sure Star Wars fans will eat it up.

I don't care about the console (The Batman looks nicer) but the bolded part caught my eye:
I'm pretty sure that they will be selling it on the PSN store too. I loved Super Star Wars on the SNES so I'm hoping that the magic is still there. Now what about the sequels...
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/...s-ps4-bundles/
The bundle also includes Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition, as well as a digital voucher to download four classic Star Wars titles – Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Bounty Hunter – playable for the first time on PS4, and sporting enhanced graphics and Trophy support. I’ll give you a minute to take that all in…

What they could have done with Vader, and it would take a bit of a revision with the top, is to have him facing straight forward. They could rid themselves of the entirety of the blue light and instead had those lights open up into Vader's eyes and have them light up that same blue or a tad darker while the console is on. That would be cool.

I like the controller. Indifferent to the console.

I saw this earlier. Have they announced a price for the bundle? I assume it will pop up on Amazon pretty quickly

Is there a PS4 hard drive extension that isn't too expensive? My PS4 games have data updates that are eating up tons of GB on the hard drive. In fact, NBA 2k15 for example is eating up almost 54GB for a data update. In addition, I've had to delete several of the PSN games I downloaded because I was running out of space. Right now I have roughly 60-70GB free and I can't even play one of my games right now because of lack of hard drive space for an update.
Any suggestions?

There's no "extender". You'll have to do a full HDD swap. Get at least 2 GB 2.5" interal HDD since its a big production and you won't want to go through all that for a relatively small increase like another 500 MB.
You'll want a large USB Flash Drive to back up all your game saves before you remove that hard drive.

That's sounds like a pain. I wouldn't feel comfortable opening up the console and doing that.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a 500GB hard drive isn't enough with all the data updates and downloads out there.

The swap itself is super easy. If you can use a screwdriver, you can do it.
It's the backup and restore that's a pain.

Yeah, exactly. It's very easy to do-- easier than a PS3 swap. Plus with the Library listing, you can see exactly which games and DLC you own already so re-downloading that content is a snap. Even backup of saves is pretty easy with a USB Flash drive. It's just not as convenient as plugging in an external hard drive like you can do on the XO.

And now my old 500GB PS4 hard drive is my new external XB1 drive

Just do a search for "PS4 Hard Drive Swap"....there's ton of info out there along with How To Videos. Heck...even on the official Sony & PS4 sites they have everything including how and what to do about backing up your data to cloud and/or flash drive. In any case it's almost a have to especially with all the great games coming later this year and first part of 2016. you'll breath a lot easier...trust us.

I swapped my 1 tb drive out a few months ago for a 2 and now have about 1.2 tbs of free space. I'm rich!

The simplicity of swapping out the hard drive on the PS4 cannot be overstated.
Honestly the hardest part was finding the full firmware version to install because the website had it hidden and points you toward the smaller update file.

Just a reminder as well. If you have a large external drive you can do the back up on, you can back up EVERYTHING, including installed games and updates. It's one of the boxes you can check during the back up and restore settings.
