Good stuff. And you installed them?
Probably quite a bit cheaper on ebay, but I'm glad you got it fixed.

Yep...cannot tell them from what was in the controller. You can get a complete set of the Triggers and Bumpers, single set of Triggers or in my case I got the (5) set of Triggers. Who is to say it won't happen again based on the games who uses that function like Destiny or Far Cry.

So it's only good for your next PS Store purchase?Picked up a PS4 last week (GTAV and Last of Us bundle). Got everything set up and going, though I won't get a chance to test-drive one of the new games for another couple of weeks (when the semester ends).
I know there's already been discussion on this (and no new updates), but it really sucks that the ability to act as a media server has been gimped. I used that all the time for my PS3 (which I guess I'll have to keep hooked up until the PS4 gets the needed update).
Do people really want to watch live streams of complete strangers playing games?
I've wanted to watch certain parts of games on youtube, and have enjoyed playthroughs of games I've enjoyed (but don't really feel like going through the whole thing again). But this doesn't appeal to me at all. Guess I'm just an old fart and spending your time watching these live streams is what the cool kids are doing these days

I also get confused when I want to buy a game, and I'm looking at it in the store and want to see the trailer, and the default video is some 20 second gameplay video.
One thing I don't miss is having to download trailers to view them...

Yeah, I don't understand it myself, though I'm an old fogey. You spend all this money on a next gen console and use it to... watch other people playing?

I find myself using the streams more and more to check out games that are either new or I haven't heard of to see gameplay and such.
My son watches people playing Minecraft all the time and I'm thinking "you do know you have the game to play yourself right?".

I never had nor never will watch other people playing via Twitch...I didn't get a PS4 to use as a Streaming Device. If I check out a trailer and game footage I just hit sites like IGN, Gamespot, Dual Shockers , playstationlifestyle.net and Gameinformer

It still strikes me as odd that Sony obviously put a lot of effort into the features of saving, editing, and viewing game clips and streams ... but absolutely nothing on keeping the media server abilities of the previous gen console (with it having the status of "working on it" for over a year). The cynical side of me suspects it's intentional so get people to pay for their "Unlimited" programs.

That isn't cynical. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to enable DLNA on a device.

Knowing a few brain surgeons as I do, they would not be able to enable DLNA. Programmers and engineers could make it happen though.

Touche. It doesn't take a Masters in Computer Science to enable DLNA.

But aren't we going to be getting actual DLNA support for the PS4 in an update soon? They mentioned it's coming a while back.

When are we getting bluetooth remote capability (which is STILL the main reason why the PS4 can't be my main player) and 3D blu-ray compatibility?

You could always buy a $50 blu-ray player instead of using your $400 gaming system.

Nope, no remote. You can use HDMI CEC so your TV or receiver remote will work on the PS4, but I've never been able to get that to work.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong
Wait ... it can't do that for sure? I could've sworn I saw something in the documentation saying it could. But I haven't tried a 3D blu ray myself though.

^Can't believe there are still people asking that question. Amazon purchased Twitch earlier this year for $1 billion, which should tell you all you need to know. The top streamer on Twitch has nearly 4 million unique followers. There are under-20-year-olds making more than you do just from streaming. Here are some stats:
So I'm gonna have to go with yes, people really want to watch live streams of complete strangers playing games.
1. Twitch accounts for more than 43% of all live video-streaming traffic by volume.
2. Twitch falls right behind Netflix, Apple, and Google when it comes to peak internet traffic in the U.S., according to The Wall Street Journal. It accounts for 1.8% of peak internet traffic, which is just above Hulu at 1.7%.
3. Streaming video games is more than just a hobby — it's a lucrative business for some professional players. Jeffrey Shih, a popular video game streamer, told Forbes that the best streamers can earn upwards $100,000 based on their live streams alone.
4. Twitch amassed more than eight million unique users after its first month.
5. And the numbers have kept growing since then. The site now has 55 million users.
6. Twitch amassed about 45.6 million unique visitors and more than eight billion page views for the period of time between July 26 and Aug. 22, according to Quantcast.
7. 58% of Twitch users spend more than 20 hours a week watching videos on its site. That's almost three hours a day.
8. On average, 12 billion minutes of content was watched per month on Twitch's website in 2013, according to the company.
9. The average user spends 106 minutes per day watching content on Twitch. That's about an hour and 45 minutes each day.
