Alien Isolation is fun and scary, I always find a way to hide whenever I hear the alien stomping around. Also should get Bloodborne, amazing game.

All great games! Can't go wrong with any of them.

I haven't been into fighting games since the SNES and PS1 generations, but something about this one looks really fresh to me. I'm hoping to maybe see it on PS+ at some point just to mess around with it.

Strangely, it seems the PS4 version of Tomb Raider Definitive is disappearing from B&M stores, though it's still available on Amazon (disc) and digitally in the PSN Store.
PSN (or used?) is probably your best bet for a deal. It's been on sale digitally a bunch of times in the $15-20 range. I think I got it at something like $12.99, and the price was too good for me to pass up even though I had the PS3 version already.

I would wait on W3. The game is dope, but since you already have Dragon Age, might as well play that first. Unless you're a crazy person, I can't imagine being able to juggle two huge games like that. Witcher is going to be the shit now, and will remain the shit on black friday when you can probably snag if for $30.

The season pass is only $25. If you buy the game on any sort of a sale, the difference between buying it now on sale+ SP vs buying it in a year as a GOTY edition is probably pretty negligible.

Thank you to everyone for the heads-up about a lot of these games. I should (slowly) start the stuff I've bought already before stocking up on other titles

I missed Gamefly's deal on Alien: Isolation recently because I was at work, but I'll keep my eyes open for another deal on it.

I played Xrd a few months ago and enjoyed it. I haven't played a Guilty Gear game seriously (I play Competitively) since XX Accent Core on PS2. Xrd is only a maybe because I'm not sure if I'll have time to re-learn/practice. Waiting for SFV to come out and practicing USFIV (on Steam) as well as slowly learning MKX. Xrd I believe is on Clearance right now on Best Buy's website (and Ebay page?)

I'll also have to keep my eye open for Tomb Raider if I run across it at any B&M stores.

Probably smart if you don't have a lot of time right now - but I got more out of the $60 I paid for that game than I have from any 3 other game. Finishing Witcher 3 before starting Arkham Knight is what made me not enjoy AK as much as I would have otherwise. W3 is one of the most generous games I've ever played - it just gives and gives - no pointless fetch-quests! Well, it does have some fetch-quests - but they're not pointless!!!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought GOTY reissues tended to be in the $40 range, no?

They almost always retail for $60 unless it's a remaster thing like Gears of War or God of War III.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I didn't know where else to post this and didn't want to start a new thread but as most PS4 owners now know there' s a media player app that plays tons of files through the PS4. I have played a few video files and most didn't work. I searched out to see what the problem was and they don't tell you that if you want to play certain videos or music you must create and name a new folder. One could be called "music" and the other could be called "movies." Once you've created the folders you just drop in the files accordingly into the them and move them to the USB and you're done. I guess the system needs to recognize the USB or some shit. Anyways, I did that and now I am able to play many files that even the PS3 could not play before.

Carry on.

Yeah, I commented about that in post #6097 when the media player app was first released. It's because of the FAT format.

I wish I would have seen that earlier. I did do a search, though.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Didn't play GTA but I still need to finish The Last of Us...solid game. Not sure what you flavor type of games is but there is a slew of excellent titles come Fall starting in September thru November. A lot of excitement for the list that includes.....

Star Wars Battlefront - November
Fallout 4 - November
COD: Black Ops III - November
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege - October
Mad Max - September
Destiny: Taken King - September
Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain - September
Just Cause 3 - December
Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection - October

...and between now and then several good titles out there cheap. The first part of next year is what many are looking forward to with The Division and hopefully Uncharted 4. No Man's Sky is a mystery and the hit of E3 Horizon Zero Dawn left everyone speechless.

Is the network down for anyone else? Also, do you have to have PlayStation Plus to use Twitch? Thanks.

Wow, that looks amazing. Reminds me a lot of Monument Valley. Another reason to pick up the PS4. If Amazon doesn't have a good deal on the 15th, then I'll just pick one up at Best Buy.
