I've used it to 'play' test games before buying. Bloodborne, MLB Show, Dark Souls 2. Works very well (you do need a good internet connection) and came away impressed.

The best use of it is the other player does not need to own the game.

Other uses:
-Share your screen: Allows spectating. This is ideal for PS4 owners that want to watch their friends play a game and provide helpful tips.
-Hand over my controller: Pass your controller to a friend, virtually, and watch them play. This is perfect for introducing your friends to new games.
-Hand over another controller: If a game supports local multiplayer, you can have your friend join as player two.

It may be somewhat situational but it is an awesome feature to have nonetheless. Also, just think of all the people you can bring to Warframe.

I love it because I will buy a new game that my friends are also interested in, but are either too cheap to buy or are still on the fence about, so I just fire up Shareplay and they get to play it with me as if they were there with me.

Exactly! Except in my scenario, I'm the cheap ass!

It allows me to play Diablo with my best friend in Hawaii without having him pick up his own copy. It would also let us play MKX together (if I could ever get him into fighting games).

Decker, do you know once you hit the 60 minute time limit, can you just start a new shareplay session in the same game with the same friend and reset the timer?

Co-op is the thing I hadn't considered. I've always wanted to try Diablo out, so that might be a way to take it for a "test drive".

They originally marketed the feature as "hey, your friend can help you beat a boss", but co-op and gamesharing are much more compelling uses of the tech, and I could see it helping them sell some games.

Thx for setting me straight fellas.

I have Diablo (so does Buzz, Kanjii). Let me know when you want to take it for a spin. Good news is Diablo supports local multiplayer (at least I think it does) so we can both play at same time.

Diablo does support couch co-op so you do get the full multiplayer experience with one copy of the game.
Yes Gooter, you can immediately launch another 60 minute session with your friend. as many times as you want. You just have to be there to launch the next session.

I don't know if this has been officially confirmed yet, but apparently the PS store can now be updated daily instead of being a Tuesdays-only deal.

Ultra Street Fighter IV Hits PS4 on May 26th

+ Posted by Gio Corsi on Apr 17, 2015 // Director, Third Party Production for SCEA

Hello, fight fans! Are you ready to get your game on with Ultra Street Fighter IV for PS4? The amazing team at Other Ocean Interactive is putting the final touches on this fantastic version of the Capcom classic. I’d love to get it to you sooner, but honestly, we’re playing it too much, so you’ll just have to wait!

All the characters, all the levels, and all of the DLC that have been launched so far will be included in the PS4 version of the game. Also, a few of you hardcore Street Fighters out there said that there was minor input lag in the controls of Ultra Street Fighter IV for PS3. Well, don’t worry: we’ve eliminated it to make the PS4 edition the ultimate version on any platform, so it’ll be good to go for all your tournament needs!

We are aiming for the digital release of Ultra Street Fighter IV for PS4 on May 26th, 2015 at a price of $24.99. This would launch simultaneously in the Americas and Europe.

I’m really excited to share the PS4 version of this classic with you, and if you want to fight me online, I’m usually the guy playing as E Honda and getting my butt royally kicked!

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Nice. I already have it on my PS3, but for the cost of just one costume pack*, I will gladly get it on my PS4, even though space is limited....

*I have a problem believing that all DLC will be included.

Wow, I was sure it would be $40 and was going to get it regardless, but $25 seems like a steal.

Bloodborne was #2 for the month despite being on only one console and only being on sale for 7 days. Not bad for a mediocre niche title.

MLB charted too, so both exclusives did well.
  1. Battlefield: Hardline (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, 360, PS3, PC)
  2. Bloodborne (PS4)
  3. Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3)
  4. Mario Party 10 (Wii U)
  5. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)
  6. MLB 15: The Show (PS4, PS3)
  7. Minecraft (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4)
  8. NBA 2K15 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)
  9. Borderlands: The Handsome Collection (PS4, Xbox One)
  10. Final Fantasy: Type 0 HD (PS4, Xbox One)

Hand jobs for everybody!

I would think so. They mention a "digital release".

What's the story with the giant photo of the dude with the PS4 controller? Or is this like the Random babe Picture thread where everyone is expected to know every person on the planet?

Ben Heck. Noted modder. He modified a PS4 controller so it can be used with one hand for the disabled. Or, presumably, in conjunction with the activity described in the previous post.

I was confused at what that picture was supposed to represent too. Descriptions and context are fun!

I'm thinking seriously of going back to this. I've been playing Bloodborne but I don't recall a game that has tested my patience and nerves...not to mention friendships with co-op pals....like this game. I'm not even sure where we left off and level of my characters. I was working on The Crusader and my other four are above 60. The co-op play is fun and that's for sure....

Is there no way to remove/hide stuff in your Library?

I don't need to see or go through demos, alphas, betas, etc. that are not installed.

Nope, like a bad tattoo or Volgarr the Viking, they're there forever.
