The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong
There are MORE than enough 3rd party titles to sustain both systems, especially since Sony can still tout that they have the "better" versions because of the superior hardware.
I, personally, was really excited for The Order. I still am, but it sucks that I have to wait until next year for it now, although I know it'll be better as a result.
But nothing in the post above me actually excites me right now. Maybe Destiny, but I'm cautiously optimistic at best.

Batman is about the only game on that list that I am interested in. Luckily The Show is so goddamn good that it I should be busy with it for a long, long time.
Plus I have a game or 2 (more like 30) in my backlog to keep me busy.

Stop it. 2014 looks pretty quiet on all first-party fronts, except maybe for Nintendo, but they have their own third-party problems.
2014 is Destiny and Batman as far as I'm concerned...and hopefully Planetside 2.

I still believe more in Sony's tactic to get exclusive games by owning and running first-party studios designed to develop games for their platforms, as opposed to Microsoft's plan to give independent developers sweetheart deals to keep their games from showing up on a rival platform.

Metro Series is coming out "Late Summer" per the response in the PS Blog.
The price point on this one feels right, and hopefully these ports continue to sell well, and hopefully Bethesda is paying attention. Definitive Fallout 3 would be an instant buy for me. Probably Skyrim too.
Also good to see that it's 1080p.

Nonsense. First party studios employ people to make games that wouldn't otherwise exist. Moneyhats (usually) only limit existing games from rival platforms and employ nobody except accountants.

I don't mind the remaster stuff one bit if i haven't played them which is why I'm holding out hope that The Last of Us comes out sooner then later. Plus I never did play the Metro series either. If I hadn't played Tomb Raider on the 360 I would've got it for the PS4. I think we're all ok come late summer and early fall. I'll pay attention to E3 where I hope Sony can deliver some positive news.

Did you get a special version or something? Mine is just a slight step up from previous versions.

If The Order was to come out this year it would've been best for the Holiday Season. September with Destiny and October is packed right now...
August -
Diablo III Reaper of Souls
Madden
September -
Destiny
October -
Driveclub
The Evil Within
Middle Earth
Alien Isolation
Batman
Dragon Age
November -
Far Cry 4
COD
...but we still don't know when on...
Helldivers
The Last of Us
Metro Series
Planetside 2
Just right now June and July are awful thin and hopefully come E3 Sony will give us some good news. August, September and October are a long ways off....

Batman hangs you upside down and says in a gravelly voice "Check again!".
Side note: Why is Dragon Age $70. Is that "a thing"?
Edit: looked into in. Horse Armor? Holy shitsnacks, videogames have folded in on themselves!

Was the last time you played when we had the league a few years ago? We just might think about doing that again this summer if we have at least 8 PS4 players on here. However, I've heard that the online is laggy so hopefully they get the fix in.

I also have a lot of justifiable faith in Rocksteady.
Damn right, Yea!!!
