If indeed that's fake, I love that someone decided a new Banjo game would be called "Grunty Land".

Microsoft was smart to leak that, and they should have done it sooner.

Looking at that list, the exclusive IP is relatively small (Halo, Killer Instinct, Banjo-Kazooie, Forza, Fable, Crackdown and a couple of new ones), and both of the Rare games seem a little bit suspect in terms of current demand (anybody thought about Killer Instinct lately?). That said, it's nice to see a little more genre variety in Microsoft's library outside of shooters and racing games, and it's nice to see them finally stop wasting Rare and letting them do what they did best, namely emulating Nintendo.

Everyone's list of exclusives is relatively small now. It's just the nature of the business. And yes, if true, Rare will be giving Nintendo fans what they want... classic Rare games on a viable system.

I'm not too optimistic for them. All of the people from Rare's heyday are long gone and Nuts and Bolts was practically unplayable to me.

Here's the link to Nintendo's E3 page: http://e3.nintendo.com/

Will add to the main post as well.

Dead Rising 3! Awesome.

I'd get an XO just to play this. One of my favorite franchises.

It's weird that the 3 in that supposed Dead Rising 3 logo is in place of the A and not the E. Deed Rising?

It's a good list to make the hardcore gamers wet which is why it seems a little suspect to me. Mirror's Edge 2 and BG&E2? Wet dream right there.

Will we finally get to play the theme park setting everyone wanted for Dead Rising 2 instead of Generic Mall 3.0?

Crackdown 3 could be interesting but they really tarnished the franchise with part 2, one of the worst games this generation.

I was never a huge fighting game fan so KI means nothing to me and Nuts & Bolts really sullied the Banjo name. Despite Rare being Rare in name alone, I still long for sequels to Blast Corps and Jet Force Gemini more than any of their other IPs.

Can't wait to be disappointed once we find out that list was a fake

Well, the Halo: Spartan Assault game was revealed today so there's hope that the rest of the list is real. Granted, it's a shitty game for Windows phones, but still it exists!

If Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Killer Instinct are real and XBOX exclusive, that is going to turn A LOT of heads.

Question is, if this list is real, is it enough to get gamers to forget about all the negative shit surrounding the console?

Didn't they tease us with Banjo-Kazooie 3 at the E3 prior to the 360's launch also?

Is it even a little bit of a surprise that a not-shit game will get a sequel?

On BGAE, I think 1) only the first 10 are exclusives, 2) BGAE sadly is more of a niche title than you think, and 3) it's sadly vaporware.

I think I disagree with this. Sony still has a decent stable of second party developers like Naughty Dog, Media Molecule, Sucker Punch, incognito, and Team Ico along with the first party SCE studios.

This is the real question. And I think the answer is no.

Since none of the negative shit has even been confirmed or clarified yet, I'm guessing definitely yes.

I'm almost positive those are all owned by Sony so technically they would be first party.

BG&E2 will be an amazing game for me to play at a friend's house after he buys an XO and I don't.

Since they haven't denied any of it allowing all this negative press to circulate for six months, it's probably safe to assume most of it, by some degree, is true. Of course they could be working 24/7 to fix all these poor decisions to not look so bad. We'll never know if that's the case. We'd have to wait for a "History of video games" novel to cover the behind the scenes of this generation.

Am I jumping to conclusions? With all the thousands of dollars I've given MS, I welcome them to change my perception.

They are, and you are correct. Also, just to correct myself, Incognito is first party and is closed. I meant to say Insomniac (Ratchet & Clank/Resistance), and they actually are second party.

Anyway, point stands. Sony still has a solid stable of exclusive developers, both first and second party, and despite losing the current console war (in the US anyway), they have been winning the "exclusives" war for years.

Notable First Party:

Team Ico
Polyphony (Gran Turismo)
Naughty Dog (Uncharted, Last of Us, Jak, Crash Bandicoot)
Santa Monica (God of War)
Sucker Punch (Sly Cooper, InFamous)
Evolution (Motorstorm, DriveClub)
Guerrilla (Killzone)
Media Molecule (LittleBigPlanet)

Notable Second Party:

Insomniac (Ratchet, Spyro, Resistance)
Quantic Dream (Heavy Rain, Beyond)

Notable Third Party (all PSN)

ThatGameCompany (Flow, Flower, Journey)
Q-Games (Pixeljunk)
Housemarque (Super Stardust & Dead Nation)

Where Microsoft has had success with exclusives has largely been based on the fact that it's easier to port from PC to 360, and smaller devs sometimes didn't bother with PS3. Metro comes to mind. Also, Live Arcade has probably 15 exclusives I'm dying to play. But beyond Halo, Gears and Forza, I don't see a lot of strength in house for them, and Rare has been a complete flop without Nintendo breathing down their necks.

If that game gets made, which is unlikely, there's no way it's an exclusive.

If that list is accurate (also unlikely), only the first 10 titles look like exclusives.

Bayonetta 2 says Hi.

It could be an exclusive.

I'd be willing to bet Bayonetta 2 goes the way of Rayman Legends.
