As to the $20 gift certs from Best Buy I was told they go out about two weeks after you pick up the game.

They said going through the entire game and collecting everything should take 20 - 25 hours.

Oh, and here's all of the achievements.

Seems easy. Too easy.

Unless the PS4 version is noticeably better, I'm sticking with Xbone.

Depends on what you notice.

PS4 will run at a higher resolution and will have exclusive content.

There is news out there the exclusive PS4 content is timed only.
Between now and when I pick up Wolfenstein I'll decide on Watch Dogs.

If we've known since October of last year, is it still "news"? ;)

Yeah, exclusive content for Watch Dogs and AC4 is for 6 months.

Re: Watch Dogs

timed exclusive != exclusive, and therefore doesn't matter.

At least that's what people kept repeating over and over regarding COD maps, etc.

PS4 version proven inferior.

Watch Dogs PS4 may not end up running at 1080p and 60fps

Already being discussed, newb. ;)

Just sourcing your speculation, rookie.

But that article uses the same source; the Playstation website.

Although, I admit I didn't read the whole thing. It was kind of boring.

There was never a chance of 60 FPS. 1080p is a done deal.

1080p is not a done deal when Sony removed both mentions of 1080p and 60fps off their website.

At the end of the day, Watch Dogs uses an engine built in-house specifically by Ubisoft for this game and any future releases. This isn't a tested and tried engine like id Tech, Source, or Unreal. This is an engine built for a single game that is meant to be ported onto six platforms.

If Ubisoft's goal is 60 fps, 1080p might not be a given for PS4. Ubisoft may aim for 1080p/30 or possibly 960p/60.

Either way, who gives a shit if the game is not native 1080p? I'd rather have lesser resolution/higher framerate any day over higher resolution/lesser framerate. Games can take a resolution hit especially as both the Xbox One and PS4 have built-in hardware upscalers.

There are modes and other parts that I wasn't even aware of. Honestly...I didn't know that any player at anytime could drop in and hack you. I didn't know about some Team Modes either.

Confirmed by Ubisoft over a month ago: http://www.videogamer.com/ps4/watch_...0p_on_ps4.html

Your language implies that you might.

Don't think that's the choice in this case, but OK.

"Of course there's nuances to it. We are utilising Xbox One to its full capabilities and the same with the PS4, of course. I know that, as far as to my knowledge, on the PS4 it will run in full HD."

I actually don't care as I am not a console warrior like yourself.

I want a game that performs well, but more importantly, is fun to play. The visual ascetics come second. Performance will always trump resolution.

Great, despite the namecalling.

And yet there's this false dilemma again:

As if the choice were between performance and resolution. It isn't.

Damn, neither console can fully run this game :(

PC master race! I'm not sold on this as a must buy yet, I think it will be a Steam sale purchase for me down the line.

Dan 05-13-14 02:24 PM

Re: Watch Dogs

Pretty much. Ubi just confirmed that all console versions are virtually unplayable.
I'm going to sell all my possessions and build a master race gaming PC. Best video card I can find is $4500, so that's a start.
