Re: Watch Dogs
are there any negative consequences to hacking people? i have passed over taking money from from several people based on their little dossier thing that pops up. i usually just take from people that seem bad. any reason to continue along that path or should i just take money from everyone?

I was ready to skip this game, and then read comments like this: "I played for 4 hours and only 30 minutes were missions, the rest was just fooling around". THAT'S MY KIND OF GAME!!!!

Re: Watch Dogs
They won't disperse them. They have every intention of turning this into an annual franchise, along with AC.

Agreed. They do a decent job of making it feel like Chicago, sometimes. But it's not laid out like Chicago at all. But I'm sure that's just to make it more fun and playable, as a more true to life Chicago may not have worked as well.
I know we are on one of the biggest lakes in the world and also have the Chicago river but man looking at that map it almost looks like we're Venice. |
Re: Watch Dogs
Aiden's voice bugs the shit out of me. He sounds like Darkman, or one of the ghouls from Fallout New Vegas (I forgot his name).

I know there is some sort of reputation bar but it has never moved from me hacking money away from people. Plus a review I read basically said that the rep bar is completely useless in this game. |
Re: Watch Dogs
How the hell do you escape the police in this? Every time I do they just find me again with some yellow radar. Grrrr.
Also....not even close to Chicago aside from the landmarks. |

I hope that's really, really wrong. I want to play this game. |

Drive off the road, like some grassy area, and then ditch the car. Seems to work for me most of the time.

Re: Watch Dogs
I played for about a half an hour last night...not really a chance to explore much, just enough to start learning the controls and get out of the stadium.
Not sure I've grasped the concept of hacking people yet - if you hack a 'good' person, does that count against you - or is is only if you then do something with their information? In the short time I played, I was unsure whether hacking someone filed away their info for use later, or if it did something immediately. Oh well, I'm sure I'll figure it out as I go along. The only person I hacked that seemed to 'do' anything for me was the security guard the game asks you to hack. |

Re: Watch Dogs
Yeah, a couple hours in and I'm not sure I know what I'm doing yet. On the "crime in progress" things, I go to stop the crime, but I'm "discovered" every single time, only because I have no idea who can see me, as I can't seem to be able to pinpoint the perps.

Re: Watch Dogs
Did anyone opt out the option of someone hacking into your game? It doesn't really sound appealing and all that fun, but I want to make sure it's not really taking away from the experience

Other than that, turning it off only removes the few skills you could potentially earn with enough online points. Not a huge loss. |

Re: Watch Dogs
I was surprised it appears the one on one online hacking/racing appears to not require Plus in order to be able to use
