Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

You should bother, the rewards are currency for the Monorail and Springfield Heights. I got some trash cans, for exampke, but not the Springfield Heights currency because it's full. Interesting way to boost those currencies.

If I get the Retro Lard Lad, that's all my donuts. I already have four Lard Ladson plus the church one. Nit sure I want to get rid of all my donuts before Halloween. Still, it's neat.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

OK, I gave it a try and earned trash cans that I didn't get credit for. I guess that's why it says my resources are maxed out. Of course my railyard resources will just about always be maxed out now that they moved the threshold from 70K to 25K (still only five donuts, though :(). Not that I'm complaining about that. But SciFighter also gave me 79 XP, which is more than an eight-hour character job.

I have way too many Lard Lads too, but I got the retro one. I have enough cash saved up that I can always buy the XP collider and load up on donuts.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I'm getting zero tablets and zero trash cans for each game of SciFighter, but 300+ XP!

So I figured I might as well spend some tablets, and one of the only items was the luxury yacht, so I bought my second of those: 4K XP! So that put me back to 16/200 tablets so I should be earning those for a while. :D

Then being in Springfield Heights reminded of the beach hideaway that bippity mentioned so I spent the 40 donuts on it then upgraded it with the add-ons. Multiplier bonanza! My beach is a crowded mess, though.

Wait, I thought the XP Collier costs donuts, not cash. Which never made sense to me because how can one earn back the same or more donuts as they spent on it? Maybe I'm missing something here.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The collider does cost donuts, but if you already have a good multiplier, it's pretty easy to make back a lot more than you spend.

davidh777 09-24-16 02:49 PM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yep, I used to periodically spend my cash on Rat Trap Delivery Trucks or similar items, but now I hoard it, spend five donuts on 24 hours of the collider, and then spend my cash and rack up a few hundred donuts (see posts 6212 and 6214 above).

I played SciFighter again and actually earned four tablets! Still 180 away from my 200 max.

4x payout for the heights currency is great. I'm guessing they will be expanding SH soon.

The higher payout gives me an incentive to play this weekend and finally get to a billion.

What's some good buildings to get this Heights maxed out? The condo seems good and I think I've only built 5 but I can't find the damn thing in the build menu for some reason. anyone else have that issue? I only see the Hotel that is massive but doesn't add a lot of value. I don't see the valet or the office building either.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I remember the parking garages and business centers having a big payout on their last two levels.

Start with Modern Mansions. they give the most value for the least amount of resources.

Here is a good guide: https://tstoaddicts.com/2015/07/23/s...estate-points/

Is anyone else not seeing them in their build menu?

The Springfield Heights buildings? you can only have 10 of each of those, maybe you hit the limit?

davidh777 10-01-16 09:07 PM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I can't see them, but I figured I had hit the limit.

I missed out on the first round of Gil's returning deals, but I picked up a couple jet engine bikes this time. I may get a building but I wish they had offered some that have characters.

I just tried that XP Collider and Rat Trap Truck trick for the firs time. That's insane! I went from $80,000,000 to $25,000,000 and loaded up on a couple hundred donuts, too. It's also the first time I had the cash to do this sort of thing, so that worked out in terms of timing. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm doing it again today, and I can get roughly 10 donuts for each dozen trucks I buy. I can probably get something from Gil and still have some for Halloween.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned earlier ... I have a challenge that I just can't seem to clear. It says "Win Sideshow You." So, I go to the game and click three balloons. The challenge remains. This has gone on for what seems like weeks. Anyone know how to get this one accomplished?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I haven't heard that one. And I assume you're hitting OK after tapping the balloons?

Yep ... getting ready to do it again, so I'll record it and post to youtube ...

Can you dismiss that task and get a different one?

Also spoilers but reddit has a list of things in the Halloween update.

That sucks. You should make a post in the EA forums. Maybe they can fix that bug so it doesn't happen again to you.

Halloween is live! So far it doesn't look like there is anything to do in other peoples towns. I was really hoping they would bring back egging friends houses and TPing trees.

I just got to the part where we can place cameras in friends towns. At least that's something.

In case you didn't know, Vampire Burns, Suzanne the Witch, Booberella, and Space Mutant all have four hour tasks that earn currency.

They also took away most of the multiplier bonus for the Beach Hideaways which absolutely sucks.
