It didn't seem to change my cooking towers back to normal from their striped status.

I got 9 free donuts yesterday. Five from Sideshow Me, 1 from neighbor taps and three for going up a level when my Gold Navy finished building.

I'm OK with it. The green feels easier on my eyes than the white. Of course we have green for 10 months of the year so maybe I'll be tired of it soon.

Man, I totally got out of the habit of visiting Krustyland during the event when it was causing glitches, and I've visited only a few times since. Is Sideshow Me just collecting tickets, or is it getting donuts when you pop balloons?

there is a small chance each time you go to side-show me that you can get 5 donuts but most of the time it's tickets. I've gotten it maybe 4-5 times since Krustyland opened.

The stats I heard was that it was programmed to give you five free donuts every 300 balloons popped. It had been confirmed by a couple different people. My lucky turn I guess!

My 8 years old daughter watched the monorail episode, and got really excited about ideas to put it in the game. I told her that that's one of the most requested/discussed items online.

I told her that maybe they are saving that for Level 50. Because Level 50 should be huge, right?

Anyways, do you think they have big plans for Level 50?
What would you like for that level, if they release something big?

Thanks for the tip! I manually removed all of the Christmas light posts, trash can fires, angels, bells, etc. around town, but I'm keeping the Christmas section of my Springfield intact year round.

I'm de-Christmasing my house today, so I figured it was only right for my Springfield to follow suit.

I finally spent some of my Gil donuts. I went for Professor Frink, but it's kinda weird that he had a bunch of quests, but none of them had dialogue nor did any involve any other characters. He's appeared in so many of the events that I expected a little more.

I also picked up the Channel 7 newsvan as a multiplier, and to unlock the four-hour task. And the Krusty Burger oil rig because it only took a ton of cash, not donuts.

I didn't even think about it, but it should be. If it isn't, they should at least have some kind of break-the-fourth-wall mocking about how bad a level it is.

:) Yeah, I always keep the stuff that generates XP and $, but I probably should stash the random decorations.

I bought the krustyburger oil rig as well right when I got the 8million bucks and it dropped me down to nearly zero dollars. The XPs then topped me over so I got to pick boxes. Luckily I got the three donuts on the first guess otherwise I don't know if I could have sold something to get 50k for another guess.

Wow, that's a narrow escape. You might not have been able to exit the box screen to sell something and get back to pick a different box.

Small update today with a tie-in quest.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

You guys gotta get the mini-event tasks done!
Spoiler:
Because we get a free Willie costume and it is pretty sweet. Pretty sure it's a bit inspired by Conan the Barbarian toiling at Thulsa Doon's grist mill.

Won 200k at the dog track today too. Only 7mil to go for the Krusty rig. :(

Raul3 01-22-15 10:54 AM

Yep the new tasks are great.

There is also a Lisa quest that has some great dialogue. This morning I almost spilled my coffee when I read Mr. Burns dialogue. Classic Simpsons quote there.

I especially like Willie's "screw you!" It makes me laugh every time.

I got the blue electric car hoping that it would trigger more of the Burns electric-car quest, but no such luck. Still a decent multiplier, though.

I wish I had a million dollars! Hot dog!

Oddly, the quest appears to be triggered by
Spoiler:
Agnes. Better have some cash on hand!

Side note: Ever since I got the sushi guy, I've had him cranking out bonsais, but there doesn't appear to be a huge benefit to that other than tree-hugging rating. However, when I level up I often have to add trees and I didn't this time, so maybe those little ornamental trees do make a difference.

More Land!!!! I was pissed that there was two new large buildings already...until I checked for land. Prepare to drop about 10mil on land. Good thing I'm always at about 75mil ;)

I am level 44 at the moment, and just curious to know if the money gets bigger towards the end. Saying you have $75 million at any one time seems an amazing amount. At the moment just getting around $300,000 takes a few days. Any tips on how to increase revenue? I have a tonne of blue houses, but they don't seem to pay a great deal.

Get a hack.

I was at around $28M and I never assign my characters to jobs, now I'm down to $16M after today's update so I sent them on jobs. I will get about $600-700K in 24 hours. After about 21 months of playing this, I'm pretty bored. The 2nd half of the xmas event took the air out of my tires and then the recent lack of a decent update slashed them. I'll stick around for the 50th level, but not sure how much more. Just a time waster with not that much incentive.

What's a hack? (sorry if that's a dumb question)

If you're playing every X hours, you'll maximize your revenue by accumulating houses that cycle along with you. I tend to play every four hours or so, so if I were trying to increase $ I might go for the purple houses that turn over every three hours. If you play every eight hours, then blue houses would be right for you. I have a wide variety of houses because it looks less farm-y to me, and I sometimes go longer stretches without playing. I've never gotten much above $10 million cash because I tend to use the excess to buy bloodmobiles for the XP.

Sounds like a hack would be easier, though. :p
