Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I just download it thanks. Again I don't want to get carried away with spending money on the game. Will it let me know in regards to updates that cost money? I am new to portable phone games.

so I bought an ipod touch yesterday and am looking at some games, how much does it cost to play tapped out? I don't want to get sucked into games that feel like you have to keep buying add ons to keep playing. It looks like Sim City in the Simpsons world.
Really glad I didn't try to go for the magician guy and save my spins. I have 300 ready to go and I'll go through them tonight - I'll pull a majorjoe on this one. I like ALL of the prizes this round, so I'm excited. Especially for...

Agreed, but it looks like an event is next. A Las Vegas-themed one. Get rrady for the Monty Burns Casino, is my guess. Hope we get a new skin for Burns from it, too. Check it out: http://tstotopix.me/2016/02/23/viva-...date-incoming/

You won't have to pay for updates. The only thing you can pay for is in-game items, but you can get plenty of characters and buildings without it. I've probably paid out as much as story over the same timeframe, and I could've easily gone without spending even that. You'll earn donuts as you play, and you can save them up for premium items. As story said, don't pay to rush an item. To avoid doing that by accident, turn on your option to always confirm a donut spend, once you have your game up and running. Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Cool, thanks for the tips, that will help. I have this and Ghosbusters for the PS3 to start playing, thats enough video games to keep me occupied for a while.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Started the day off with about 110 tokens. Got me the first prize easily and close to the 2nd.. I passed the second through earned tokens today and tapping casino patrons in my town. So not a bad first day start. I did a little of the st. patricks day stuff but trying to keep casino earners for that task.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I still haven't gotten the second prize, but I haven't spent that many tokens yet. I played dice for a while but was on a losing streak so I played slots. Then I switched to house of cards. It's weird because it's not poker, with only 10 cards to draw from, but you're trying to achieve the same hands, and the odds seem pretty good with only 10 cards. Just getting one pair earned me 70 chips, while four of a kind was 200 and a royal flush 250. I'm guessing that there's no hand that will win me 300 like the other games. But I think I'll keep playing this for a while.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
So when a build time on a house says a couple of hours, does it take that long?
|
Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Man, the third prize is slow going. I've burned like 150 tokens and am still like 5K chips away.
But I did craft the casino! Spoiler:

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
So after a couple of days, I just don't get it. I have the Simpsons and Flanders house, The brown house next door, and the kwike mart thats it. It almost feels like a World of Warcraft game, that their is so much to it, I don't know where to begin.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I got the Chinese theater, so 8 days to get the last prize.
Not sure what else I should get. |

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I had a little better success yesterday. I have played with the controls a little more and I'm starting to understand it. I also have the Burns Casino. Do you recommend creating an EA account?

Yes, definitely create an account. That will save your progress in case your game crashes or you want to switch devices. Also, it's useful in the rare instance that you want to contact EA to fix a problem (I never have). |
Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I've officially unlocked everything (including the black diamond player tower and safari casino). Now begins the daunting task of designing an area around all this madness lol. Good event imho.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Yeah, I was looking over my Vegas complex and thinking we got a lot of stuff. 14 buildings! And I like the signs too.
My tokens are stacking up again. Although I mix it up a bit, I've mostly been playing the cards. The payouts seem fine, and the game just feels faster than the others. |
Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
So I got my EA account activated, so I guess that's my username. Its JediJabroni

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
So I have no idea what just happened, my town/game is gone.

You are probably signed out. Try to sign in in the welcome screen.

Got to the sign in and my town is there, problem averted.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
The latest in-game update gives you the option to spend 5 tokens on a casino game at a time for 5 times the reward. That's a relief. Right now I'm at 451 tokens - and counting! - and it would've been a real slog to play that many games.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I'm annoyed by yet another questline requiring the same characters. I'm going to send Marge on the same eight-hour task three times because I don't want to use the characters who are earning event currency.

Note that unlike the monorail prizes, currency that earns bonuses doesn't roll over to the next prize. So if you need 100 chips to earn the bonus and you get a 400-chip payout, those extra 300 are lost and your next bonus will start at zero. Just a tip for those trying to maximize their chips. :)

One thing to avoid is vandalizing buildings because that hurts your obedience rating as well as that of the person you're visiting. It doesn't really matter for someone like me who's been playing the game for a while, but it'll hurt your town rating. One of your peripheral goals is to build up your star rating (called the Conform-O-Meter and shows next to your level number) because that increases your multiplier. Again, not something you need to worry about as you're building up, but when you have more money to spend, that will help guide your purchases. |
Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Glad to add you I couldnt believe how big your town is. I sent out friend requests to everyone active on these last few pages. Again my username is JediJabroni if anyone wants to add me.
