Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I'm lacking in donuts right now as well as cash to pick up more rat trap trucks. I'm at 150 donuts on the nose and now that I'm there, I missed the casino. When a character+building is 100 or less donuts, it's a no-brainer. That's why I picked up the two cowboys last week, so I don't feel too bad about missing the casino. Still, I'm going to need to do some tapping if I'm going to get back to donut town any time soon.

If there was a donut deal I probably would've taken it. Maybe at Christmas.

I'm assuming the annual Xmas event starts soon?

The hunting event says it lasts through tomorrow, so I'm hoping for then.

Hopefully this week.

They seem to like starting events on Tuesdays. Also C.H.U.M is available in the store.

Hopefully the Christmas update comes with more land. I don't get why EA is so stingy in putting out more land.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I too am hoping for more land. I'd also be happy if they added a new tile of land in the ocean. My waters are getting crowded.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Remember that they are releasing the Christmas event this week. So plan accordingly. 4 hr tasks or something like that for everyone.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I always assumed that they wanted to restrict the land to avoid performance issues, hence making Krustyland its own thing.

Yeah, that's why they added Krustyland.

But later they were able to solve the performance issues, and they have kept adding land.

Christmas update just went live!

I dunno. I kinda wish it felt more....Christmas like?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I wouldn't mind something more traditional, but I like it so far. If they end up offering something like the tailgate party with the pagan guys, I'd probably get it, but I don't think I'd spend donuts just to have them wandering around afterward.

I have to admire the chutzpah of the game's creators, as I'm sure they're getting tons of shit from "war on Christmas" people right now.

King Winter and White Witch Burns have tasks that earn antlers.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Kind of pissed that there isn't more land. Also, my game is crashing when I visit neighbors, so I haven't been able to find the elves on their side. And the elf game is not working the second time around in my town. Hopefully there's a patch on the way to fix all of this.

Same.

Although after so many years, I guess they got out of ideas for a new spin on "traditional" Christmas events.

The event is short too!

Man, I can't find this damn gnome w/o the radar. Tried turning off the buildings and landscape and I still can't see it.

EDIT: If your radar disappears for you (like mine did), go to Krustyland and come back. It showed up then.

I haven't been able to visit neighbors. Every time I try my game crashes. Other than that, I'm glad land was added but it seems that this update is really glitchy and hotshotted.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeesh, I thought I was earning prizes slowly, and it turns out I'm like 5K behind the TSTO Addicts calendar. I've been steady with the tasks but less so with the neighbor visits, and I think my biggest shortfall has been converting only enough offerings to earn prizes, so I have a few thousand of those stored up. So I was converting four of the cheap offerings then no more, kinda like I was working the railyard. I can probably get back on track by converting a bunch of those.

I've only had a couple glitches.

Thanks for the edit--I couldn't figure out why you weren't using the radar.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

There's no way I'm getting The Parson tonight, which I personally really wanted to have. I'm at least 13,000 back. At the beginning of the event, I was a little confused as to how all of the multiple, and I mean multiple, currencies work, and at the beginning of this week I was away from my phone a lot so I didn't have a chance to play. Right now, he's at least 270 donuts, maybe a little less in four hours when I get some more antlers. I have 111 donuts and probably have the cash to level up to nearly 150 donuts but that's it. While I want him, I don't know if I want to pay $10-$20 worth of donuts to get him. Bummer.

David, can you please put that calendar in spoiler tags?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I got all the items about 1-2 days before act 2 started.. except the last daily item from turning in items.. It said it would be available the same time as act 2 started.. and its gone.. Not sure if I missed something one day, or that was an odd glitch or issue within the game itself.

davidh777 12-19-16 11:17 AM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Sucks to not get the Parson, but that happens sometimes.

I bought the Gil idol and had the Simpson family there (40 antlers each instead of 15 of the offerings seemed like a win), but when the new act started, it offered me 180 brooches in exchange for 30 of the offerings, so I decided to move the Simpsons back to those instead. I can send Marge and Maggie there because they don't have offering tasks so it's still a benefit, but maybe not as much as some other stuff.

Red Hood 12-22-16 08:05 PM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

EA is doing one of their bullshit shenanigans. Now you get exclusive characters with donuts that your purchase.

This is the type of crap that leads people to find online hacks.

Raul3 12-23-16 02:11 PM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I was actually going to complain about that too.

OTOH the game is old, has been hacked for a long time, donuts come really easy even if you don't hack the game. Without hacking I'm right now at ~750 donuts.

So it makes sense, but no, I won't pay money for that. Hopefully you would be able to buy those items with donuts in the future.

mallratcal 12-23-16 02:33 PM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I'm the dumbass who has spent $100s on this game, but the last doughnut purchase will be my last. The game is still making money so this just seems greedy. :(
