Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

It ends with a premium decoration that gives something like a 0.75% multiplier. You could put Brandine into storage to cancel it so that she can do the St. Patrick's task. If you don't care about the multiplier, though, the decoration isn't all that interesting.

Good idea to dial back on the game if you're not having fun. Do you also have all the premium items? I never build up that much cash because I buy bloodmobiles, but I know some people have more donuts than they need anyway.

The decoration isn't anything spectacular, but I'd still break the Spuckler quest in order to make progress on St. Patrick's Day. For one thing, it's more interesting. For another thing, it's still a multiplier. I know it's annoying to lose progress on a long-build task like that, but you'll have plenty of time after the event to build another Spuckler.

There are only about 6 hours left before Issue 3 (and its crafting) ends and Issue 4 begins. I've got 243 lockpicks, 4 capes, 6 handcuffs, and 249 phones. Guess I'll be making a ton of phone booths before I go to bed.

I just bought more apartments but am five handcuffs away from a loft or store. I do have 300 lock picks and 500 phones, and I can't sell phone booths. I already tried.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I built about 25 phone booths yesterday.

I was only about 1000 ray guns away from another round of donuts. Kind of bummed about that, but i did get a lot from this event.

I ended up building 24 phone booths last night.

You folks that are clamoring for more land are going to hate the first task of Issue 4.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I didn't get the last 2 episode 3 items. And I missed getting the Zenith City tower. Hoping I can get all the items from Episode 4.

I must be missing something in the game as I always feel behind on these types events. I see people flying through them and getting everything really quickly while I'm struggling to get a decent amount of whatever item each day. Is there some secret I don't know about? When Ep 3 ended, I was about 10,000 ray guns away from the 2nd of 3 items.

It seems like the last couple events have really rewarded frequent play, like awarding more currency the quicker you tap after a neighbor's visit, and having constant streams of antagonists you could tap. If you're in a position to only play a couple times a day, I could see how it'd be tough to accumulate items.

Yeah.. I enjoy the game, for the most part.. But it gets frustrating and discouraging because I'm missing out on items, buildings or characters because I have limited opportunities for getting into the game. I've moved on from being discouraged about premium items because I don't pay to buy donuts to buy them.. But things that I could earn from events that I miss do sting.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

EA really needs to give us another land expansion soon. The new prison and the Radioactive man statue are both close to a full land square in size, and it looks like one of the upcoming prizes is nearly as huge -- and that's not even counting the two skyscrapers and Zenith City stuff.

No. Doubt. Most. Needed. Thing. Ever. Tapped Out needs to seriously remove the only complaint users seem to have anymore and open up the land floodgates.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Someone posted a similar pic, but with yetis on another board.

I had what looked like a bunch of toilet paper strewn in trees one day. It was white, so not Easter stuff.

Toilet papered trees were from the first Halloween event I think

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The current episode seems to lay out the quests like this: 4 hours, 4 hours, 12 hours. So a couple times I've had my job finish at 3 a.m.

I'm nearly done with the event. As far as I can tell, the first two Issue 4 prizes
Spoiler:
have no quests attached to them.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I've worked so hard at the layout of my town and have loved how it looks, but it's just too crowded now and I'm getting frustrated. I'm thinking of nuking it and staring from scratch, but dunno if I'm ready to commit to that or not, lol.

Thanks. You must be significantly ahead of me because I just got RM and set him on a 24-hour task. The animated sequence when he first appeared was pretty cool.

Got a mystery box today. Inside...another mystery box. Inside that...30 donuts. Nice little surprise to finish off the event.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

There's an app store update to take down the superhero event. There's also a revamped mystery box with better prizes. You get one free, I got the the news van, which is normally 40 donuts and added 2% to my multiplier. Kearney, Lard Lad Donuts and the Blue Haired Lawyer are among the new prizes.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah, the last two mystery boxes I got were a parking lot and newspaper dispenser.

I'd just started assigning everyone on 24-hour tasks to kill the time till something new hit. The good news is that I finally finished growing the corn I had speculatively started before the Valentine's event--at least I had Witch Marge to finish it in less than 90 days. The annoying thing was that not longer after I'd started, I got a quest to grow the 45-second flower so that's been sitting there for weeks.
