I don't get it. It's like a fanboy animated gif composed without any actual consideration to anything.

Yeah, no. Gif was an obvious troll, and telling someone to fuck off really isn't the right way to do things. So, last warning for you - and everyone because this shit shouldn;t need to be repeated. NO FLAME WARS OVER FUCKING VIDEOGAMES. Seriously. Grow up, people. |

Haven't these companies learned that it's software that sells systems and not the hardware?
All this shit about the console, with no solid demonstration of anything to play on it is pretty sad. Oh look, you can do all this stuff on it that you already do... wow? |

Well, kudos to MS for keeping the name a secret. That's hard to do in this day & age. I, for One, couldn't wait to put down my Harmony One remote, pick up my HTC One phone and tell all my friends about the exciting, original name they picked for the next Xbox console.

I really hate that I'll have to hook up a Kinect to use this thing. There's a large space between my TV and my gaming console and it took a lot of work to get a PS Eye to work via the long USB cable I ran between the walls. Now I'm going to have to do that again (or maybe twice more). Yuck.

re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
Xbox One isn't backwards compatible with Xbox 360 discs or Xbox Live Arcade, Gamerscore transfers It's true: the Xbox One will not play your Xbox 360 game discs, nor will your Xbox Live Arcade games transfer (not to mention any other content that's dependent on the 360's hardware architecture, anyhow). That Gamerscore you've been earning, though? That's gonna transfer. As will your Xbox Live Gamertag. Sadly, due to the x86 architecture of the Xbox One, the PowerPC-based 360 titles simply won't run on the hardware. Microsoft's not super worried about consumer reaction, though, telling Engadget, "We care very much about the investment people have made in Xbox 360 and will continue to support it with a pipeline of new games and new apps well into the future," a Microsoft rep told us. That said, Xbox One is designed, "to play an entirely new generation of games -- games that are architected to take full advantage of state-of-the-art processors and the infinite power of the cloud." http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/21/x...ds-compatible/ |

Microsoft is not dumb.
A lot of us have multiple Xboxes at home, and yeah we play the same game in two different consoles at different times. That shouldn't change with Xbox One. How? Not sure, maybe same way it's now, without inserting the disc. But you have to login into Xbox live with your account of course. |
